US: Game of Thrones - Season 3 - Book Comparison (Spoilers)

Just wondering, there was a scene in episode 1 I think, where Sam tells Mormont that he didn't send the ravens. How will Stannis receive the call?...Maybe if they get Sam back to Castle Black very soon, it might work? I hope they leave the Davos/letter scene in, as it is one of my favourites!

Which one is that? I can't think what you're referring to.

Davos in prison(I think after smuggling Edric), gets hold of the letter from the Night's Watch asking for aid, he is bought before Stannis, Instead of pleading his case, he just reads the letter out loud(also revealing the fact he has learned to read).

Totally epic scene. Goosebumps when I read that!

I hope it is included. I thought it almost certainly would be, but they have left out some really epic moments already(The Hound in the last episode for example 'This caves dark too, but I'm the terror here")

Ned planned to support Stannis, and sent a letter to him offering him the crown, and telling him all that has happened, but it was intercepted by Cersei I beleive. Robb also planned to support Stannis initially, until the whole 'king in the north' thing started.

There was never any chance of Stannis allying with anyone who didn't support him outright really. Once Robb wanted the north independent, Stannis just saw him as another usurper, stealing what was his.

I am still puzzled as to when Stannis is going to arrive at the wall. I would think it would be one of the last scenes of this series. Sam didn't send the ravens from the fist of the first men, so he has to get back to castle black quick so he can send them. Davos is already leaning to read in preparation.

Well the attack on the wall has to happen first. Before that the scouts need to attack.

One of the scenes I hope we see up close is Donal noye's stand in the tunnel.

YES!...One of the most badass bits of the whole series:D

I thought Stannis comes to the wall after receiving the ravens sent from the Fist of the First Men?...I might have got mixed up.

Was epic, but just one thing..."JAIME LANNISTER SENDS HIS REGARDS!!!!"...why change it? I thought that bit was poorly executed tbh...Roose just basically stabs him as he walks past and mumbles something...should have been much more epic imo.

Also wasn't keen on Blackfish taking a **** and missing it all, and was hoping he would release Greywind for an epic scene.

Otherwise it was great!

PS. Still a bit confused by the lack of Robb's will as well.
