Games you're playing, and games...

After finishing Ghost of Tsushima, which was an incredible experience I have moved onto Yakuza: Like A Dragon.

I am a big fan of the Yakuza games, but I am not enjoying it compared to the previous instalments. I just can't connect with the new map and it feels stale compared to Kamarucho. Dialogues seem a lot more lengthier too. I could just be burnt out on open world style games though.

Up to chapter 13 now on Guardians of the Galaxy on Xbox, hopefully have that finished soon as on my up next is Horizon Forbidden West on my new ps5, got quite a backlog of games I want to play now!

I seriously wish I was mentally stable. I am not having much fun but also not hating doing the DLC for AC Odyssey but because I crave the 100% dopamine hit I am still playing it.

Yakuza is a good example of a series that I have realised I will enjoy much more if I just play it on easy to experience the story. I am not good nor do I enjoy the brawler combat but I did like the story. My first one was three and I have not actually finished any other ones.

Apologies for double post, I forgot I was still in the same thread.

Doom Eternal - dragging on a bit and I don't think it's as good as the first one (2016). Constantly running out of ammo and it's a goddamn FPS. Stupid.

I presume you're using the chain saw to get an ammo drop every now and then.

Well I do forget from time to time. And then it's my luck to try and chainsaw a big monster with only 2 units of fuel. :p Besides, doesn't everyone play FPS by trying to save all your best ammo for boss battles? :p

Picked up Grim Dawn and all the DLC for ~£9 and its a lot of game for that sort of money. Bit of a joke its only at 1080p on Series X because it's hardly a looker but its still good fun for any Diablo lovers.

Its also 30fps out of the box :p An option to uncap that seems smooth enough though, feels close to 60 to me and haven't noticed any drops.

Playing deliver us the moon. I really enjoy this kind of game, especially in a space setting as it looks good on my TV.
Quite puzzle light so far but may get harder.

Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction on PS3. Really enjoyed my time with the HD trilogy of the first three as I'd never played them before, decided to start ToD again just to see what the jump from the PS2-era games to the PS3 ones (where I started playing them) was like and realised I can barely remember any of ToD, which is very unlike me. So I'm playing it through again.

Whilst I can't get my real riding fix at the moment (following a crash last weekend) - I decided to give SBK22 a go:

Not a huge fan of the handling that Milestone games have, but recreating a bike is clearly hard - I've always picked up the Ride games when they come out, and have a few of the MotoGP ones too; but I don't really follow that series IRL, so it's nice to see bikes/names I know now. But the handling on this feels a bit better to me, so hoping to get my teeth stuck into it, once I can sit playing for more than 20 minutes :D

Just finished getting platinum trophy on Spider-man Remastered. Had this game for ages ( back on PS4 ) but kept on kicking it down the road to play other games. Fun game, a bit repetitive but it was entertaining overall.

Finally Doom Eternal clicked. Starting to enjoy it a lot more now that I've got the ammo situation under control. I like exploring and getting all the collectibles.

I was not sure where to put this as I believe it's out on both xbox and ps5. Wo Long has a demo out (about an hour worth of content).

It's basically the Chinese version of Nioh 3 with a more Sekiro style than the previous games. The nioh series has been amazing if you like technical souls like action with a looter twist.

Yeah, have been keeping an eye on it. Not sure about the morale system but I guess that's what the demo is for! Unfortunately I'm on PC only at the minute, so no demo for me. Boo.

Now about 10 hours into Mafia 3. Seems to be much less broken than it was on release. Gameplay is a bit clunky and repetitive in places, but still having a blast. Will keep me ticking over until Plague Tale: Requiem.
