Games you're playing, and games...

Assassins Creed: Origins. I usually get bored quite quickly with these games but the setting and story are pretty great. It was on PSN deal of the week for £12 last week glad I picked it up.

Recently got a PS4, so working through everything that I have wanted to play over the last few years. Started off with Horizon Dawn, but also playing DragonAge: Inquisition as a secondary, so many games and all 100+ hour games for me too, PS6 or 7 will be out by the time I have worked through the backlog.

Bought Wolfenstein Old Blood and New Order, Played New Order on PC but performance wasn't the best so stopped playing it. Picked Wolfenstein II up last year but again never saw it through (I have a bad habit of not finishing games). Completed Old blood the other night and really enjoying the gameplay. Actually looking forward to completing Wolfenstein II now as it is very slick on the X and visually impressive. I played return to Castle Wolfenstein years ago when it first came out (on PC) and was my go to multiplayer game for a long time. So this spurred me on to buy Old Blood. Not really a carbon copy of the original but was fun to play with the supernatural element to it.

I preferred Old Blood and New Order to 2. The storyline is mental in 2 but it's still a decent blast.

The scene with Hitler is hilarious.

I'm playing Persona 5 Royal and it is long as hell.

I'm at the fourth palace (I think). Its definitely good, but I'm eager for a more dynamic involving game in all honesty after playing TLOU2. I might play a PC game besides Persona which is a bit more.. engaging.

I think keeping one generation behind is the intelligent choice for single player games.

You can scoop up all the hardware and software that those upgrading are selling for next to nothing.

Yeah it's worked out pretty well for me so far, picked up the PS4 Pro on the MM here, and not paid more than £15 for a game yet, and they're games that I personally will put quite a significant amount of hours into, I've been a big MMORPG gamer for most of my last 15 years, and I haven't been able to kick them out of the way to play other games on the PC whereas now my PC is getting to it's senior years and I am more and more on the Apple Hardware it made much more sense to spend the money on a console.

It’s a very long game :p think it took me just over 100 hours to complete. But it’s now my GOAT. :D

by the way, I think you’ve still got a ways to go.

Yup, I do like it but I do find its a bit.. slow... like the whole day by day thing. I have played Persona 3 and 4 so I'm not sure why this has surprised me so much.

I feel like the story still has a few more gears that need to kick in.

Just starting playing Warframe today and put 5 hours into it in one sitting and see that increasing a lot... I've basically been hooked on BR's with a little bit of Call of Duty on the side so it's a nice breath of fresh air to switch to something completely different!

Was planning on giving Resident Evil VII (PS Now) a good go last night but ended up watching "Rise of the Nazis" on iPlayer before it leaves. So tonight, when the lights are down, I shall start it.

Playing that next as well via gamepass.

Currently playing the story driven game Tell Me Why.

Resi VII is one of the only games in the past 5 years that has actually gripped me. Bought it and finished it on launch day on console, and I bought it to play through again in the Steam summer sale :p

Yeah R7 is great, has no real connection to the other games bar a few nods here and there but it's fantastic in it's own right, I enjoyed the DLC as well.

I've been trying to find something to get my teeth into, recently played;

Messenger - the constant back and forth was a little too much so binned it
Prey - the combat isn't satisfying at all apart from using the spanner :p Got around 5 hours in and haven't picked it up since
Far Cry Primal - already completed it, but bought again in the sale to finish off a few achievements but it hasn't aged well
Rage 2 - bought the skeleton DLC or whatever it's called and it's not good
GTA5 - finished this off finally, only took me what, 6 years? :p
8-Bit RTS series - not a fan
Sniper Elite V2 - hasn't aged well, the mechanics are very wooden

On the other hand recently bought a Switch (again) with a bunch of games I haven't played yet so hoping they get me interested. Worst case scenario is i'll play through Zelda BOTW again :)

I've got it on my shelf still, if i'd known about their DLC system i'd have skipped it... so, is it worth purchasing? It's £15 right now which is more expensive than the main game!

A bit late, apologies! Is the DLC worth it? One of them is, I can’t remember what it’s called but it has a whole new area away from the main map and you get a new skill and a new weapon which are nice additions.

Terramania isn’t, you get a sword and have to fight skeletons. It sucks tbh.

Yeah it is so funny, the humour is great. Don't think I will bother with the latest incarnation Once 2 is completed.

So I've calmed down, regrouped and reinstalled RE VII. Put the difficulty on easy and now I'm beginning to enjoy it. Made it out of the garage and the house. It's certainly got enough jump scares to rival Alien Isolation so far.

I really enjoyed Wolf II but I wouldn't recommend the DLC, it wasn't very good. Felt a bit cheaply-made, lots of recycled assets and environments etc. A shame really because The Old Blood was great and that was originally meant to be two separate DLC packs before they combined them into a standalone game.
