I'm guilty of checking your thread when looking at a few bits haha!Just realised where the issue really manifests. I haven't even clad there
Decking will cover it in fullness of time. Get the issue now! Wonder if I will have the same challenge.
I've just used Plumbers Gold to seal it to the wood. It is fully breathable so any moisture will soon dry off. What did you guys use to seal around window & door openings once you’d cut the building wrap? Flexwrap seems to be the thing but it’s so damn expensive!
I’ve run armoured cable under the deck/path/lawn now, just waiting for the spark to get back from holiday so he can do the first fix, then I can finish the internal insulation.
Ive not really put anything on it, the expanding foam meets the window /over it.What did you guys use to seal around window & door openings once you’d cut the building wrap? Flexwrap seems to be the thing but it’s so damn expensive!

Not sure tbh - I doubt it would make much difference in any case.@dlockers my neighbour may have some spare 20year old PIR off an extension.... Any ideas if the R values have improved over time? Else I might ask to pinch that..
PIR is a far better heat insulator than rock/glass wool, although as stated the wool will give much better sound absorbency.Any reason why I shouldn't use loft roll though...?
I know. But it's also nearly £15 per sqm, whereas loft roll is about £3. I've got PIR in the roof & floor.PIR is a far better heat insulator than rock/glass wool, although as stated the wool will give much better sound absorbency.

I'd guess with 100mm compressed slightly front to back and side to side it'd hold. I'm not that bothered about acoustics tbh as it's not like I'm going to be working in there or playing drums.I don't know if fluff stuff settles over time, I always feel like it will.
You might get slightly better sound blocking properties with acoustic battens e.g. RWA45 type stuff. Not sure if that matters to you based on garden location.
Ecoscape / bm steel say to do it in the middle as a locking batten. Rest are free /not screwed with the fixings.Buffman, why the double horizontal batten?
I wanted multicolour to keep the kids entertained but didn't want to pay Hue money. Ended up with GU10 Govee. They're on timer and work fine. What downlights did you use in yours @dlockers ( for the exterior )
Im going to fit more cladding tommorow... Didn't get much done last weekend.
