I think few people appreciate the difference between having an opinion and exercising that opinion in public. Gary has seen both sodes of that.

I think Lineaker will probably be happy to take a step back and i think the BBC will be happy to not pay his massive wages and get somone much cheaper in and perhaps more in line with the BBC ethics. Maybe that Chris Macausland that the BBC have spent all day frothing about.

I would prefer Kelly Somers if it were to be any of the current crop of presenters. She seems to know her stuff and can actually present unlike 95% of the others, both men and women.

I am delighted with this news.

He has done a decent job as MOTD anchor but his salary is just absurd. As was evidenced when MOTD was broadcast without him, he doesn't contribute to the viewing figures. There are so many other presenters who can and would do the job for a fraction of the cost.
