9 GCSE's Grade A-C

1x Grade A - English Language

1x Grade B - Business Studies
1x Grade C - Maths
1x Grade C - Geography
2x Grade C - Science

(iGCSE) Maths - A
English Language- A

Pretty chuffed, below predicted grades in some though, which is annoying as they're good marks but to have to put my predicted grade A*, then put given actual mark as A on sixform application makes you feel like you've let teachers down....

My results:

Biology - A*
Chemistry - A*
Physics - A*
Electronics - A*
IT - A*
Geography - A*

English Literature - A
English Language - A
Maths - A (Disappointed)

French - B (Get in! :D )

Pleased with mine overall, although I am disappointed with my maths, really feel I should have done better :(. Will probaly get it remarked.

However, the result I was most pleased with was two As in both english's! Despite having little enthusiasm for both, I expected nothing better than a B for both, so pulling off two As is a miracle for me! :D

Well done to everyone else with their results, now off for partying!

My results:

Biology - A
Chemistry - A*
Physics - A*
Electronics - A*
IT - A*
DT - A

English Literature - A
English Language - A
Maths - A*
French - A*

Very pleased with the results, however the Biology was a bit of a let down and I'm considering to get it remarked. The thing is, the majority of the papers that get remarked seem to get bumped up a grade (which means getting a paper remarked is basically "buying" yourself a better grade).

Well done to you all :)

All these people getting A in English

I got a C in my retake this year, which I am quite pleased because it's better than the D I got at School. :o

It sure seems like it.

Why when atheltes PBs get better, year after year and world records get broken do people say that 'the standard of these athletes is getting better as time is progressing'. But when pass results get higher it is poo poo'd. Now I understand less students are taking Seperate science subjects, which means more students take the 'supposedly' easier dual award science award and this could explain the slightly increase pass rates. What we forget is that the level of teaching is thought to be increasing also, with money constantly being pumped into education - although I would argue sometimes into the wrong places. The same might not apply to other members but I worked my absolute ass off to get the grades that I did. I understand sixform is a whole new ball game, but hey, atleast its a start.

</rant>

Well done for all these A's but GCSE's dont really do much for you.

I get the feeling that a lot of people are so bothered about getting A grades that they forget to enjoy themselves in life. Just chill out and have fun!

I did my maths GCSE a year early and got an A*

Are you doing AS Maths next then?

I've found such early-taking courses are a great boost to you if you can handle them :) .

Wasn't sure where to post these as they are not GSCE's and don't fit into any other thread.

Just got my results for my BTEC National Certificate for Electrical/Electronic Engineering which I got a Merit overall. Just wish I worked a bit harder to get all the modules up to distinctions. Still very pleased. :D

Business Sytems for Technicians - Merit
Maths for Technicians - Distinction
Communications for Technicians - Merit
Science for Technicians - Merit
Project & Communication (Electrical/Electronic) - Merit
Electrical and Electronic Principles - Distinction
Electronics - Distinction
Further Electronic Principles - Merit
Three Phase Systems - Merit
Electrical Applications - Distinction
Programmable Controllers - Distinction
Further Maths for Technicians - Merit

I got:

English: A
English Lit: C
Spanish: A
Geography: A
Maths: A*
Statistics: A*
Music: A
Biology: A
Chemistry: A
Physics: A*
Physical Education: B (I needed 95% on the written paper for an A :/)

I was shocked about that A in English, having been getting Ds through the year.
Slightly disappointed on the A in Spanish, I have a feeling it was my oral that let me down.
I didn't expect to actually get the A in music, having made a few mistakes in my performance, and my compositions not being all that great.

Got A*s in my 3 most important subjects though, so I'm happy.

One of my friends managed to get 9A* 1A and 1B.
He also got 480/480 on the maths written paper.
So much for bassists being stupid

well done everyone - i'm shocked after reading this thread how many A* and A's there are !

am i the only one on this forum that got kicked out of school at 15 and is as thick as FULLY STAR THE SWEARY! :D

ps - i'm now 27 and work for the local CC in southampton schools - funny world :p
