first time I think I've disagreed with a TTL award :(

good performance - but still worth a gold award at that price ? Gamers Choice I would have thought - or equiv award

TBH unless you have more money than sense the obvious choice is to buy a AMD 7950 / 7970 and wait until Nvidia release the next gen of cards which will probably see 780 performance at reasonable prices.

^^ This, some great bargains on 7XXX cards atm. Keep an eye out on Nvidia 6XX series price drops as well over the next few weeks..

I think if you can justify spending £600 on a 780 or £900 on a titan when you can have 75% of the performance for <£300 (7950/7970) then you are going to be well off for money. It is like my friend who has £1000 a month disposable income and moans about being poor and says he wish he was rich... Grrr how annoying. I bet you earn at least 25k a year to be able to justify a 780 @ £600.

Not £600, I paid £550 - the sale of my old 680 (£300) and sold off a 60 hz monitor (£80) = £170 upgrade.

I couldn't possibly comment on income but yes your right. As every married man knows, it's not what you earn, it's how much her in doors will let you spend on "Pointless PC bits" :)

I know, such a softie fool I am, but the £200 will get me 3D vision two kit to go with my benq 2420t and brand spanking new over priced GTX 780. LOL

That'll be my next purchase when allowed.....maybe for Christmas.

Slightly off topic but does anyone wear glasses and get on OK with the Nvidia 3D bins over the top? Is it even possible?

Dont take this the wrong way but 25k a year isnt exactly a 'rich' income, i think national average is something like 30k a year. At the end of the day tho it boils down to how much you like to spend on new toys. Lets face it not much point in saving at the moment. I'd rather spend it now than end up being the richest guy in the graveyard if you get my drift.
