Yes, again, acknowledged, but there is contradictory behaviour at play... the 2080 is being maligned (almost universally) because it is so close in performance to the 1080Ti, with that being cheaper yet offering very similar performance... therefore the 2080 is seen as bad value in comparison. Pretty much every review is saying don't buy it! And it is poor value in comparison, no argument there... but that poor value pales in significance to that of the 2080Ti, which while more powerful than the 1080Ti/2080, is offering an exhorbitantly high cost/performance ratio for what you're getting on top. So ultimately, it begs the question how important 'value' is in all of this? Not very it seems, which therefore renders much of the criticism against the 2080 somewhat silly given it's not being equally levelled against the 2080Ti.
