I'm not a UKIP supporter. :D

They are different, in the sense that they just come out and say what they think, lets ignore if what they say is right or wrong, that is another debate.

It is quite refreshing to hear people in the political realm just say what they think instead of just trotting out the party mantra.

I'd say quite the opposite, UKIP are full on rhetoric and expert manipulaters of the media.

Keep on voting for the establishment then
The only reason UKIP are not of the "current" establishment is because they are relatively new to the popular political scene.

Wut? The Greens dropped Westwood over her Luxembourgish tax arrangements and have employed a tax expert to investigate before they continue working with her. That's pretty admirable don't you think? If you're going to have a policy of cracking down on tax avoidance then better start with your donors. The other parties could learn a lot.

Except when, ya know, it's racist, sexist or homophobic comments that they're coming out with

You are latching onto the narrative that UKIP are racist.

That narrative only exists because it means that LibLabCon will not draw any scrutiny over their immigration policy.

I'm in 2 minds about who to vote for personally, one one hand we have the established parties who have run the country at one point in the past, some better than others but none have been "great". On the other hand we have a party which is gaining ground and could probably be equally as good or bad for the UK.

Do I vote for tried and tested but ultimately end up disappointed or do I vote for something new and fresh and give someone else a chance.

Just been on twitter for the last couple of hours, this has had a massive massive back lash!

Starting to look like a huge own goal for the @standupptoUKIP lot

It's not "latching onto narrative" when a party member says something sexist, racist, homophobic etc. Have an issue with people then claiming that UKIP are a racist party if you want, but whether a comment is racist or not is not opinion.

Are Labour racist because of what Dianne Abbot has said previously?

You're doing exactly what I said you were able to object to in the second sentence of my two-sentence long post.

It's not a matter of opinion whether UKIP members have very publicly made racist, sexist, homophobic etc. comments. Your point was that it's a matter of opinion, when it isn't. Agreeing with a racist comment doesn't mean it's not racist. That's the point that Crpwned was trying to make.

Why the underlining of PCS Union?

And I concur btw, the incident with Farages family was ill thought. The man's fair game, but it's not right his children and wife should be subjected to that.

P.S. I've met Zita many times, she's a very nice, intelligent and driven lady. I'm suprised she's let herself be associated with this issue.

Like i said before this has backfired spectacularly. Last night i was read tweet after tweet saying that they weren't going to vote UKIP and now will to **** these people off. Must have been in the 100's

I've met Camilla Batmanghelidjh many times (Even worked for her for a while) and again she is a lovely and very intelligent woman. But people like these sometimes don't understand boundaries and don't see the wood for the trees. The problem is that these people still go on thinking that they did nothing wrong.

These idiots are probably cut from the same cloth as the clowns who ran the Yes to AV campaign in the referendum and refused to let Farage get involved in their campaign because although he would have been very effective, he's not young, hip and right-on anti-racist.

I feel really sorry for Farage's kids, who apparently get bullied at school as well, but I too feel that this can only be good for UKIP's campaign.
