Made perfect sense to me too, because some miners are idiots the mining community as a whole suffers and this causes other people to think that mining is bad for your GPU.
It does suck, I've been hobby mining since it first started and in that time I have lost more GPUs to gaming despite having less of them running lol.

https://videocardz.com/71776/amd-is-trying-to-sell-radeon-rx-vega-64-at-a-higher-price

rumor was that Cards are being sold at a loss by AMD and wanted vendors to take the hit- no idea on custom board and chip sale prices though

will be interesting to see Monday- makes the silver version a steal and the plastic basic expensive

Misleading title is misleading. Retailers are trying to sell RX Vega at a higher price, AMD aren't in that equation.
But seriously... if those are going to be anywhere near the prices we're expected to pay I think Gibbo might be sat on stock for a while ... $:£ is as much as I'm willing to go on these

They'll still fly out for miners but that pricing puts most here out of the game, when nVidia introduced that level of pricing it was "outrageuous" and "milking customers" whereas in this case it looks like it'll come down to retailers price gouging, but who knows how much they'll have to pay for stock if they're a miners dream.

We still have Vega 56 though so hopefully it's not a disaster for gamers.

Not misleading as it says

Retailers are given final pricing from distributors, but they fail to see parts for 499 US dollars.

Don't the distributors get their price from AMD?

I'm a miner though... and that's still far beyond what I'm willing to pay lol
