Gigabyte G1 Gaming 1080 Review - Plus Doom Giveaway

Looks like payday I will be getting a Green screen. I did watch a tutorial and looks simple enough, so fair shout on that :)

I think the 'normal bloke' at home who loves his cards sort of works.

Its distinctive, you are not sitting on one of those generic gaming chairs, beside a water cooled monster p.c with the shelve with all the kit on it.

I would stick with the 'one man and his card' formula and run with it. Bloke, home, card, card and more card.

Slicker editing, camera set up, you will learn that as you go with time. I would not worry about it.

Nice review, only thing I would say depending on how many reviews you're planning to do perhaps get a better mic? The one you use while on-camera sounds much nicer (to me at least) than the one you use while talking over the game, except the on-camera one has a bit of background noise. It's not essential though :p

Aside from that just the things already mentioned, list full system specs, benchmark a few more games and maybe show comparisons with your previous card.

More games would be good and also a chart at the end with all the results and %'s difference. Good job with the reviews though but those 2 things would make them better.

Nice review Greg.
Some slides with the comparisons out a table/graph would be nice. You do seem a nice chap and easy to watch but maybe another suggestion would be a hot lady in a bikini might get more views :p

Nice review

More games need to be tested however.

Would you say the 1080 is a 1440p card or is a 4k card?

4k gaming benches would be good as well. As I suspect for 1440p the 1070 is the card and the 1080 is for 4k.

Haha got there before me i was going to post that considering he lacks some swanky pants setup gear he is going to have to go the female route of pulling in viewers. So get some fake cleavage and a sob story FAST and call yourself Gregerine? Two days to a million subs... Trust me Greg my dad is a Kardashian for a living.

Not sure i'll carry on watching gregs reviews if its him in a bikini

I would be interested in DX 12 performance and a bit of watt usage comparison, if that possible?

Big old thumbs up for you ! :D

I currently have 2 x R9 280x's in crossfire, Would a single gtx1080 be a decent soloution to replace them and not loose any performance. I've had a google for some comparisons but it seems no-one has done any that i can find.
Would you mind testing Arma 3 if you have that?
TIA

Haha, cheers guys and you don't want to see me in a mankini :D There is a very nice young lady who lives a couple of doors away from me but then I would have bruises from the wife, so that is out :D I could do the sob story like some of them X-Factor contestants but I would end up punching myself in the head A LOT :D

Some great suggestions though cheers and some nice comments :)

Sorry Southy, I don't have Arma 3 but I can tell you that it is very CPU bound, so make sure you have a decent CPU and overclock it.

Edit:

And agreed about the mic and something I will look into later on. If my subscribers pick up quite a bit in the future, I will invest in something decent.

Your review looks fine to me, seeing more games in action would be good, especially the more recent ones that have the settings to run at higher resolutions, are you using a gsync monitor
Thanks
