how much bigger is the 580 vs the SOC 480?

i know my case can fit up to 290mm for a graphics card but ya'know its rma'd so i could always ask for a refund from a competitor, and get a better case :)

how you finding your 580 btw? whats the OC potential like on them
 
got no case atm sadly :( could built a test bench but meh its time haha

and dont really want all my stuff out on the desk were the dog will most likely get hold of it.. bloody dogs :p

got like a crappy old pentium 4 pc in my room tho just to look at.. /sigh ;p

I have some more free time

My SOC is really picky best I've managed with small bump in volts is

750/2020 mem which was stable no artefacts of 20 mins of furmark

Any higher than 780 and needs loads of volts
And even them not stable - even if I downclock mem to
1850

Really don't understand what's different with my mobo vs gbs who tested it Stable

My mobo is only pci-e 1.1 but that should not matter

Wish I'd kept my MSI 570 :(
