Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 7 Owners Thread.

enter bios and click on bios

change

enable ultra fast boot
sata support - last boot hdd only
usb support - disabled
win 8/10 features - win8/10
csm support- disabled

MIT- advanced memory settings- memory boot mode to enable fast boot

i think that should do it...good luck!

Tried all that and sadly still bang on 20 seconds.

I have the same settings as you it takes around 11 seconds before I see the windows logo then it logs in.

The only thing I can't do is set a xmp setting on the memory as the automatic ones just does not work. I get bios screen

If you have usb devices plugged in, especially drives, this can delay boot too. I'm sure you haven't.

somethings not right i can restart back to desktop in about 10 seconds.

just finished rebuilding my system in a new case (fractal define r5) and changed the old h50 cooler for a h110 in push pull. I was shocked when i saw load load temps drop by 20c in the new case with the h110.

just had a little play at overclocking and hit 4.9ghz @ 1.41 volts:D

i am running all the case fans and h110 off a fan controller and corsair link does not show any fan speed.

is there any way i can get the fan speed to show in corsair link?

I still think it's because you have something connected it's initialising/looking at before it continues.

Could it be the Corsair Link?

uninstalled link and unpluged the link from mobo for both the psu and the h110i

still around 20 seconds till desktop. 10 seconds until the windows logo and then 8 / 9 seconds for desktop

impressive! you need the h110 into the cpu fan on the mobo if you want to control it, the rest of the case fans can go into the hub that i presume comes with your case

So I wondering if I perhaps installed windows incorrectly with my boot times being slow. Is that possible ? I read some garb about needing to have the USB stick formatted correctly for the uefi install ?
