I need an inoffensive, suitably decent gin for a mate. Nothing too marmite like Opihr if that makes any sense. £30 maximum, fancy bottles welcome. Any suggestions?

Roku Gin above from Waitrose is lovely.
Brooklyn Gin is on the citrus side but also nice.
Go for the one I recommended earlier - Martin Miller’s. Very fine.
Just a heads up, ALDI have an offer on Columbo No 7 from this Thursday, £20 for a 70cl bottle. It's normally £28 on Amazon (reduced from £32) and also £28 on Whisky Exchange. Good reviews all around so definitely worth a shot at that price.

Well i say my collection mostly the girlfriends though the oak aged one is very nice. Probably going to get a bottle on Ungava next, just because its a bit different

Picked this up on Friday, very nice but I think I need to up my game from the Aldi tonic I bought to go with it!

Just got Gin Mare and Roku gin, tried the Gin Mare, lovely with a sprig of Rosemary, possibly the best gin I have tried yet.
Still need to try the Roku, what goes well with it?

I just like it with a slice of lemon and Fever tree.

Will try it with a slice of lime then as that's all I have. I have Star anise and Juniper berries that I usually add to gin as well but do find they can be over powering.
Apparently Roku recommend a thin slice of ginger, may have to try that.
Two bottles have been delivered here in the last week, both unexpected.
The first was a competition prize and the second a gift from my brother in return for a couple of hi-fi separates he's having from me.
I've not tried either of these but both are supposed to be excellent.

Pothecary is very nice, but it has quite strong lavender tones iirc
