Gmac, Miguel A Jiminez, Shane Lowry and Phil Mick all each way and did a 10 timer first round three ball bet, mahooooosive odds at 11200ish/1 haha.

Can't really go wrong with Adam Scott and Jason Day, although I'd like to see Westwood finally get a major. I can't see Rory doing too well here as per but Rose could be in with a great chance. Woods? Not too sure.

Id really like to see westwood pick one up he just seems too unlucky on the greens. Lefty will be up there I suspect after his win last week id also like to see polts and gmac do well

Has nothing to do with the clubs. Fact is Rory is playing like **** and cant blame anything else other than himself. He has no confidence and he is making errors on his swing thats pretty hard to fix imo.

Can't say I agree entirely. The fact he's making errors in his swing could be down to a confidence issue due to not being comfortable with the clubs.

It's a bit of a coincidence that he had a storming 2012, signed the contract with Nike in what, February? And has been pretty much gash since.

Well I know what u mean about just as he switches he starts playing bad. Surely 6 months later he should have fixed it now? He must be doing something wrong because it's not like Nike are all of a sudden making bad clubs?

I hear you, they don't make bad clubs at all! It's hard to say really, you know what golf is like, as soon as something starts playing with you it's a nightmare!

Maybe not, but they haven't exactly got a big heritage in golf equipment. Unlike Titleist who've been in the game for 80+ years!

Nike didn't start building clubs until 2002 and the "Nike Golf" brand wasn't established until 1998.

Having said that Tigers done alright with them so Rory's really got no excuse ;)

Aint that the truth.....

I've just been up the range to try and sort my hooking driver out, which typically starts going wrong just days before I play my next scratch match! :(

Local kid Jimmy Mullen scored 71 in his first round at the Open, he lives about 100 yards up the road from me. He's 750/1 to win, gotta be worth a few quid each way :D

He's exceptionally good at the Royal North Devon course which is desperately tricky to master, not surprised he's doing well there tbh!

I've got Westwood and poulter. I was up there yesterday courtesy of MasterCard, full corporate mashings in the hospitality tent. Great day. The course looks pretty much unplayable though. Everything is rock hard, fairways are like concrete, the rough is really thick (a lot thicker than it looks on TV). Watched a few groups, followed Miguel around for a bit, watched Tiger on a few. Poulter was looking good too. The thing that got me the most was the amount of time they take on the green, watching Zach Johnson and his group on the 5th we had to wait a good 15 minutes for them to putt out, they were that long that ZJ went to the loo while the two others were taking a putt and then came back for his next shot!!

GMac's missus, Kristin Stape I think, was in the hospitality with us, she was proper tidy! Her "entourage" of a couple of older American blokes were annoying though.
