interesting - but what does it give you over the V3? I'm struggling to understand.....
upgraded tags (alleged better range), shows the green shape and enables you to move the pin on the watch saves you messing with pin locations after a round and forgetting, looks way more premium, shows you the scorecard on the watch instead of having to wait til after the round and allegedly full hole view is coming in summer.

oh and once i sell my V3 its not cost too much :p

snap

I was kinda surprised to read the existing Shotscope doesn't show the scorecard during the round tbh, I just assumed it would :p

Well..just back from Aberdeen, I PROMISE THIS IS COINCIDENCE!! with a "new" bag for my clubs..

Basically..I was looking for a single strap bag as I dont get on with the dual ones..and 95% of the bags out there are dual-strap, so I came across the Cobra Tour Stand bag (didnt want a cart bag), and in store it was kicking around £250~

So I went on ebay, and the same one brand new was around the £150 mark, so I thought great! I will get an order in..

But before I done this I came across the same bag, (different colour scheme) used but in good condition, based in Aberdeen, for half what it was new! So I went with the intention to say I would like to view first without committing, but got there and yep, was happy..

I mean I liked my TM Pro 8.0, but I couldnt believe the quality difference, the straps, the thick rain hood and zips etc..

So, now, its near time to pay this year coming fees, and need to get out to the range very soon!

Nice, I keep looking for a new bag for my main rounds (got a pencil bag now for carrying the local 9 where I generally don't take a full set of clubs), but I'd be looking at cart bags really as I'm either in a buggy or using a trolley and my current stand bag is a bit meh for that.

It's really sad but I keep thinking I shouldn't get say a ping bag if I don't have ping clubs, and of course yet to find one with the right orange accents for my (poor? :p) taste :D

yeah, I feel the same, since I went cobra / Wilson, I did feel a bit weird with a Taylormade bag..it shouldn’t matter but sometimes it’s hard to look past it without feeling silly :(

tbh, I probably would have kept the bag if I wasn’t really after one with a single strap (it came with the other piece to make it a double, which is nice), but as a bonus the Cobra bag quality really is second to one mate..

here is the one I was going to get, before the one in town:

Just back from the range, the first time I have managed since my lesson..

Tried so hard to implement what I was taught, when executed though, man they did fly. Its just so hard with the "muscle memory" to change your bad habits, as they feel the most natural. :(

But I must say I love my D9's so much, I just hate hitting them and scuffing them up!

Yeah, I find it really hard to go from the lesson where I'm warmed up and been focussing on, and guided to, something resembling a different swing and then replicate that on the range/course... Does feel like over time my 'baseline' is getting better but still not great :p

yeah, stick at it mate, you will get there. Its hard to replicate like you say..

Im quite fortunate, in the sense that..my current objective is to make sure Im going straight back on my backswing, currently im coming round on the shot, so to help aid this, I have a ball at the back corner of the mat and I line my ball up in front and left of the placed ball, so its in my eye-line and focus to take the club back, and ion the direction of the ball at the back corner.. if that makes any sense?

And when I do this, it really does help for that particular issue!

Playing my first comp in the morning. If I want to enter the big comps during the summer I need to access the qualifiers.
So midweek Stableford tomorrow. Normally has around 10 - 15 join. Teeing off at 8:40.
Handicaps seem to be ranging from 9 to 21. So pretty well spread.

Looking forward to it but will feel nervous on the 1st tee :D

Good luck dude, let us know how you got on today!

Stableford is good place to start - no worries with a single bad hole - just onto the next one.

You'll get some joker with 40 points or something I bet....

McIlroy in favour of the shorter balls for the professional game. As the Iain Carter mentions it will be interesting to see what if anything Augusta National have to say on the issue as they must be one of the courses most affected by this over recent years.
Augusta has made itself longer over the years without too much trouble (and they can afford it). The optional ball will be great for shorter older courses (like the Old Course) who can't get any longer.

Winner came in with 32 points.
My self unfortunately started well but imploded.

I scored 15 points on the front 9 only to then score 7 points on the back with 5 NR :(

4 holes on the bounce I didn't score and from then on confidence was shot and lost my game big time.

But all good experience. Head up and onto the next
