Probably a long shot but does anybody know which golf pants are of a slimmer/tighter fit around the legs, similar to slim fit jeans? I've been using a cheap pair of Dunlop pants from Sports Direct but they annoy me as they are like flares at the bottom and flop around when playing shots and walking the course.

Try something like a J Lindeberg or Ian Poulter, avoid the flare trousers.

Yeah the above are good choices albeit a bit pricier than your average Dunlop trousers :eek:

. I've always found Ping trousers fit me a treat and are a bit easier on the wallet. If you do go for Lindebergs make sure you get at least a size bigger around the waist because they're an extremely small fit!

I played in the last medal of the year today and I may just have sneaked it, although I won't know until I check the board tomorrow. Had a fairly good 78 nett 69 so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed, from what I can tell nobody else did particuarly well so I could scrape into the winnings. If nothing else I will be back down to playing off 8 which is a nice end to the competitive season. I wasn't particuarly brilliant off the tee today but my putting (28 putts total) and scrambling was really good, even if I do say so myself

Countdown mode for me. Off to La Torre on sunday for a week of booze and golf with the lads! Playing La Torre, Hacienda El Riquelme and El Valle. Cant wait!

Had a Ping Custom Fitter at our club today.

Last week he was at the Solhiem Cup and today at Rye Hill fitting a load of old hackers LOL....

He was first class with everybody regardless of their skill level and everybody come away with nothing but positive comments about the guy.

He asked a few questions to start with took a few measurements then gave me a G20 with a standard stiff shaft to start with and I hit 5 shots on the launch monitor....
Shot 1 102mph 4000 rpm
Shot 2 103mph 3950 rpm
Shot 3 103mph 4000 rpm
Shot 4 103mph 3900 rpm
Shot 5 102mph 4050 rpm

He then built me a club up.... i15 Head with 11 Degrees of loft and Proforce Tour X Stiff shaft and I hit another 5 shots averaging 272 yards of Carry and bang down the centre of the range.

I have played golf for 12 years and I must admit I am absolutely blown away by the gains of a GOOD custom fitting session.

Needless to say I am probably going to be dropping a a few pay checks on a complete change of my bag

i15 11 Degree Driver, Proforce X Stiff Shaft
i15 3 Wood, Proforce Stiff Shaft
i15 17 and 20 Degree Hybrids
4 to SW S56 Irons

It's all done via my SkyCaddie that I use for yardages. All you have to do is input your score, number of putts, hit/missed fairways as you play, just like a digital scorecard really. All you do then is upload them to the website after. It's a brilliant little device that's helped me no end this year.

Fantastic, I have some new SkyCaddie friends!

The scores for this weekends medal have just gone up on the board, unfortunately I only came 7th overall and 4th in division 1

Was hoping for a win and a bit of cash to spend in the Pro shop as I need some new shoes... Oh well you've got to look at the positives and at least I'm back down to 8 which is what I started the season on
