Could say the same for the Nexus 4, still love it really. :D I don't need a new phone at all. I just WANT one, like I want a Nexus 6 bit it'll be out of my price range.

The nexus 5 is still an amazing phone, no lag, screen is great and size is just right for your hands.

I haven't even looked at the n6 as my N5 is so good! Had it from launch day and its still faster than most.

My only complaint is the battery, fix that and I don't see why most people would need much more from a phone.

do kinda of agree with that, it is the fastest android phone around for sure. just shows that all these skins and butchering the likes of samsung and htc do just slow down a phone.

android 5 set to improve battery so i guess time will tell

Makes me wonder if the improved battery enhancements in Lollipop is simply the battery saver option, which you can set to enable at a certain battery %, which basically just disables everything, or whether there are improvements throughout the OS.

They did say there are battery optimisations throughout Lollipop. They called it "Project Volta" at Google I/O earlier in the year.

I've noticed gains, a lot of my usage is off screen e.g. streaming spotify, podcasts, syncing of 3 emails, whatsapp/hangouts etc etc.

4.4.4: usage 5-7hours 2-3hours screen time
5.0: usage 8-10hours 3-4hours screen time.

I'm going to say I get a solid 20%-30% increase, your milage may vary.

You running android 5.0 official version and not the preview?

So the Nexus 6 in Midnight Blue (32 GB or 64GB) is up on the US Google Play Store with a "coming soon". We already know the US SIM free pricing of $ 649 and $ 699 for the two storage options. We also know that the first date to order will be Oct 29 in the US--and for the first time ever for a Nexus device, it will launch at all the major US carriers/operators at the same time (I believe it is also the first time AT&T is carrying the Nexus brand). Mind you, I would never buy under a two year carrier contract as I want the flexibility of owning the phone outright.

Alas, no sight of it yet on the UK Google Play Store but I expect it any time now.

But while I wait I admire of the new features I will be buying. We also know that the Nexus 6, for the first time, will support 64 bit architecture when it arrives. This means there is future-proofing built into this Nexus. Another advantage is the ability to boost the phone's 3220 mAh battery by six hours in only 15 minutes by using a Motorola Turbo Charger. I believe this premium device will compare favourably to top of the line models from Samsung and Apple, while not competing directly with lower priced Android phones from Google's partners.

Just thinking and waiting until I can hit the purchase button.

Having just held a 5.5" LG device, I can say this is probably not for me unless they add some thumb location customisation. It's just too big

sounds good - hopefully not too much longer now before pre orders are taken. With a bit of luck the play store wont get crushed to death like the last nexus release!!

Too big, too expensive, not worthy of the Nexus name (all IMHO of course) - I'm sticking with my 5 and hope Lollipop adds some battery life... I've just installed a hacked version on my Nexus 4 so will give it a bash.
