Why does it have to be better and cheaper?

I said equal or better. The previous poster said it's too expensive, I asked him for a viable (equal or better) alternative that was cheaper.

Ignoring that we don't have UK pricing yet I'm not expecting much of an answer because it's still probably going to end up the cheapest handset in its class, just not as cheap as some earlier Nexus handsets or as much as we might hope.

I'd rather pay a lot more and get a product that isn't flawed in some way (like previous Nexus phones)... assuming this won't be.

I suppose the 'flaw' will be the size (and thickness), but that's equally a positive (not the thickness).

The thickness is not a flaw IMO. The back is contoured and very thin at the edges. I prefer it to a mega thin slippery slab.

Makes for a flush camera and feels better in the hand.

Oh sure it's just opinion, but given the already large size I think most people would find the considerable thickness a negative. The Note 4 is more of a sweet spot and the 6 Plus is perhaps a bit too thin.

Most people will see 10mm and think OMG without taking the heavily curved back into consideration. The thin edges will make the phone feel thin I think.

High price for release but I bet it will drop below £400 within 2 months from 3rd partly sellers. Has always been the same with all andriod phones as they never hold their price due to other high spec andriod phones.

Not sure about that, Nexus phones previously had limited availability. They only price drop I remember was when CPW reduced the Nexus 5 but that was some time after initial release.

yeah i dont remember nexus prices dropping much. they were always in pretty short availability. the n1 was a bugger to get, the s well no one wanted that one. the gn i dont remember it dropping price either.

of course the 4 and 5 didnt either untill just befoer the next one.

I am not so sure. They did not reduce the n5 , n7 or n10 although other retailers did I guess

I think this is important, its not like a chunky Lumia device, it starts off really thin and curves, guess for the stacked battery.

For people complaining about price see the iPhone 6 Plus which is about £600+ with that generous 1GB RAM. They truly have their consumers bent over paying millions for the same recycled thing with an extra number after iOS.

All good devices are expensive, iPhone 6 (and Plus), Z3, Note 4, etc.

There are some exceptions with Android phones where you get a good deal, it varies.

The iPhone tends to cost more but there are many varying factors which can justify that (not that people need to justify it, if they're happy with it).

Profit margins being the main one ;).

But there is a different between value and price which people seem to miss, if people find value in a device there willing to pay for it.

5.9" Quad HD screen, Snapdragon 805 chipset with adreno 420 graphics chip, minimum 32GB memory, Aluminium frame.

Anyone expecting the Nexus 6 to be cheap is kidding themselves, this is a premium phone and is priced to match the specs.
