Google shows off Android 3.0 - the 'Entirely for Tablet' Honeycomb

I like the idea of the honeycomb tablets, whether I go for the xoom or asus (or another brand lol) will depend on price assuming they're all stock.
Whether they'll be updated might also play a part as I don't want to be stock with out of date software because the company can't be bothered.

Not going to jump on release, I'm going to wait a month or so after release so I can get some proper reviews and the prices to balance out a bit. Also should give us a chance to see if they can be rooted

I don't know if anyone else noticed but I thought web browsing seemed a little sluggish in the video...

web browsing was not shown on honeycomb - but on an apple laptop to show off the market web page

I am really liking the look of Android Honeycomb!
This is very tempting!

Having had an iPad and not being impressed with it, this looks far superior and i love how things are set out.

I've got a question, I've got two android handsets (desire hd and the san fran) and I have to have a seperate account for each of them. If i get a table would that need a third account or can a phone and tablet share a account?

My phone and tablet share the same account without any problems.

yeah i agree, would have liked to have seen the tablet shown, best buy stocking at $799 apparently

That comes out to around £500 which puts it into iPad (3G) territory. Hopefully it will be less when it arrives.

i have decided to get one anyway, but kinda just want the wifi only, i have a usb dongle and dont really wanna sign a contract

I only use my Tab on wifi and can tether it if needs be. I presume that we'll see it in March?

yeah i read somewhere that first it will be 3g only then a later wifi one, i did sadly read it would be more like April/May and i think it was a fairly reliable source - maybe android police or even engadget... however nothing has been confirmed so we can only hope...... i 100% dont want a contract on it that is for sure!
