Finished up to ep11 last night, what a fantastic season so far, i dont think had a bad episode yet

Not to me, looks a lot chunkier than I remembered. It was ages ago when I watched the shield though.

I've seen him in quite a lot of things over the years so probably just used to the weight gain, i still think he's unmistakeable as him though :)
 
This. He'd battled to 'do the right thing' after Vic Mackey's little speech and it wound up biting him in the ass (well, costing the rookie's life anyway)

Its more to do with treating a killer like he got caught on an overdue parking fine. One person to escort somebody who just killed multiple people

No, I don't think that has anything to do with Gordon's differing reaction of one death over another. I don't think Gordon even knew the actual circumstances, he just got told he'd killed the girl didn't he?
 
He saw the prisoner taken away, just seems like that point was the mistake. But sure in the story he resolved to take actions that led to Galavan's end
