GP2 & GP3 2013 Season

Well that win and the 22nd for Coletti has put Bird back in the GP2 title race. Disappointing to see Daly have problems in the GP3 feature race, will hinder his run at the championship.

I would be raging if I was that Carling guy. Being taken out by someone who was a lap behind and who blatantly wasn't bothered about moving out of the way.

Seemed to me the Spanish guy crashed into him on purpose.

Yea was a bit of rubbish move by Canamasas, was the second time that race he'd done something like that too. A stop go penalty for it seems pretty pointless when he was already way behind also.

Nasr had a fantastic race, starting from 25th I think it was.

Lancaster drove a good race to pick up his first win by the looks of it, he's now 6th in points with 4 less races than the other contenders. The non-points finish for Coletti closed up the championship a bit. Good to see Calado back on the podium as well.

As for Canamasas, well he's behind Jake Rosenzweig in the standings which pretty much speaks for itself :p

FIA Stewards strike again....

Jolyon Palmer has been given a €12000 fine and apparently narrowly escaped a race ban for calling Canamasas a ****ing idiot after the race.

What penalty did Canamasas get? A 10 second stop go while he was pretty much last... Genius.

I wonder if someone forgot to bring the blue flags to Silverstone :D

I don't remember seeing a single blue flag shown during any of the races, the whole weekend (GP3, GP3 or F1).

Ericsson finally getting a good race result this season, he must have come into this year expecting to be right up there.

Was nice to have some team radio this race, hopefully this'll be standard from now on.

A British driver (McKee) won in GP3 too. Ellinas hasn't finished lower than 6th so far, looks good for the title.

Lancaster's up to 6th in the GP2 points despite missing the first 4 races, best rookie so far.

Robin Frijns has lost his seat at Hilmer, guess with Sauber having money issues it's the first thing to go. He is to be replaced by Adrian Quaife-Hobbs.

The returning Ricardo Teixeira will be in at Trident replacing Kevin Ceccon, Dani Clos is racing for MP Motorsport (replacing Quaife-Hobbs) and Vittorio Ghirelli replaces Fabrizio Crestani at Venezuela GP Lazarus.

Feel sorry for Frijns his tweet kind of sums it up... https://twitter.com/RFrijns/status/360053886347784194

...Think that's all of it :p

Cecotto driving like a moron again... Amazing he has money so gets to drive when people like Frijns don't.

Great scrap between Palmer and Ericsson during the race though.

I genuinely cannot understand why Cecotto is allowed to continue driving, he's just completely stupid.

Just watched the GP2 race myself. Cracking race overall.

Nice to see that Canamassas now knows how everyone else feels. ;)

Cecotto...... Well... what a complete and utter moron he's turning out to be. I'm fully expecting to see him in F1 soon, lowering the driving standards dramatically. Same as Grosjean and Maldonado did.

Just seen this on Twitter. This is Rossi's helmet after Cecotto's accident. He was hit by pieces of Cecotto's front wing.

Yea it's crazy how many times can he get away with this stuff, the other drivers have commented, the commentator constantly mentions it... it's dragging the whole thing down in terms of competition.

Wouldn't be so surprising, he has decent backing, like Maldonado. It's a shame as the lower fomulas are supposed to be a proving ground for talent but it's becoming so much about the moeny everything else is ignored.

Frijns should start talking to Indycar teams, there are some vacancies opening up. They've recruited from GP2 before (Viso, Conway and now Filippi). He could follow in Arie Luyendyk's footsteps :)
