GP2 & GP3 2013 Season

POS DRIVER PTS
1 S. Coletti 135
2 F. Nasr 129
3 F. Leimer 110
4 S. Bird 92
5 J. Calado 90
6 J. Lancaster 65
7 M. Ericsson 64
8 J. Palmer 64

Getting pretty tight at the top now, Coletti seemed to be well away, Nasr's consistency could very well see him win the championship if he can keep it up. Still a way to go though.

Times for over the weekend

Friday
2:50pm GP2 Quali

Saturday
8:45am GP3 Quali
2:35pm GP2 Feature Race
4:15pm GP3 Race 1

Sunday
8:20am GP3 Race 2
9:30am GP2 Sprint Race

Seems he will be replacing Jon Lancaster which is a real shame for him, he was going well.

Not sure if it's just for this race or for the rest of the season, the cut throat nature of GP2 at the moment make nothing set in stone :p

Edit: Alexander Sims will be replacing Eric Lichtenstein at Carlin for this weekend.

Both championships getting close now, especially GP2, with Coletti not scoring for a while now and Nasr failing to get anything this weekend.

Was really chuffed for Alexander Sims getting a win in GP3... He's had only 2race weekends this season got 4 points finishes with a win and a second place, not bad going.

I'm rooting for Daly to win the championship, did pretty well this weekend too with the two 2nd place finishes.

I think Sims is one of those guys that ran out of money, but Status still ran him in their LMP2 car for Le Mans last year.

Yea he had a cracking weekend, really strong showing. He is certainly in with a good shout of winning it if he can keep that up.

You're right about Sims, still a shame to see these people able to fill in at short notice with barely any running and show that they deserve to be there, but they don't have the funds... it's all too common now :(

Good to see James Calado win another GP2 race. Nasr taking the title without a win would be pretty weak, and Calado has been more impressive to date (winning twice in his rookie GP2 season for example).

Jon Lancaster is back in the Hilmer car... Not surprisingly after Frijns got dropped by Sauber :(

Sergio Campana is replacing Ricardo Teixeira at Trident.

Seems Alex Brundle is lining up a post racing career in line with his dads by joining Will Buxton in the booth for the GP2.

Seems to be doing a pretty good job.

He's done the last few GP2/GP3 weekends. My only issue with him is that he sounds very similar to Will Buxton, so sometimes it sounds like one person discussing things with them self :D

Yeah Bird did well, was a shame he had a slow pit stop could have had a great chance for the win. Still a good race for Russian Time. Enjoyed the race.

The GP3 race was a bit more messy, it was like bumper cars at the start :p

Unfortunate for Daly, he was closing in on Regalia before this weekend. Kyvat moves up to second in points with the feature win at Monza.

Edit: Just saw a replay of the formation lap, Regalia almost wrecked before the start :p luckily he missed spinning into the pit wall and took up his grid position.

Was a similar start in the GP3 race 2, will they never learn :p

The GP2 championship is going the way of Leimer and Bird at the moment, would like to see Bird win it, still a little way to go yet.
