Gran Turismo 7

I agree. Rolling starts are by far the worst part of the game. Why not have qualifying sessions on just the championships and then grid starts

So you don't overtake all ai cars on the first lap. It makes sense.

Also where is the endurance racing and bspec?

This is just a add on pack for gtsport charged at full price

No probs. Yeah i'm going to give one of those cups a go, not sure which yet. I may be able to make the last races on office days.

Managed to do it, cheers for the advice! Only took me 4 attempts today... don't know how that works but I'll take it.

Tried to bang all the drift missions out as well but the drifting physics are nearly as bad as the dirt ones... I don't understand how the drift cars can't actually turn. Trying to do them with the pad with how bad the physics are using a wheel feels like there is no connection with the car.

So I’ve been loving this game over the last few weeks so have bought a G29. £185 unopened with cosmetic damage seemed the best I could get it for. Now looking for a stand and seat. Has anyone used something like the Next Level Racing F-GT Lite? A foldable solution would be ideal.

I recently got a GT Omega Classic stand to go with my G923 wheel and pedals.

It’s pretty solid and a lot better than the stand I had years ago. It also folds up easily.

There is an option for a seat too.

Nice one! there are a few missions like that where you have to pass cars at a certain place, so the others are at the right place on track when you get to them.

For the drift events, i set the brake bias all the way to the rear. Drive fast into the zone, steer a bit and slam brakes on and floor it to get a good angle at speed. I'm using controller but find the physics on dirt and drifting terrible.

was using a Playseat Challenge for a couple of years when I needed to tidy up after every session. The F-GT should be a bit more solid than that but both will be fine for a G29. They do feel like stepping stone products though as they have some shake and movement.

GT omega classic and NextLevelRacing wheel stand 2.0 are going to be way more stable but heavier to move around the place

The daily races, is it sbmm? Got tonked in all of them, the gr4 I ended up being 1 min 12 seconds behind the leader, finishing 10th. Not sure how people are so quick!

Thanks, will see how I get on without and then make the jump.

Well after a few hours of finally playing I can come to the opinion that they have truly ruined this series. Great game. Terrible packaging. Refunded.

Are you able to do me a favour and can you retry the Tokyo Highway mission on the Rolling Stone Book. You time on that is a 6:28 and the best I can get is 6:43 and I'm like a 1 second off first. I just wondered if this is another thing where the tires are messed up as the car has zero grip even when I'm doing clean laps I'm light years behind what you must've have been doing and on all the other missions and tests we are pretty much on the same level.

It's the good thing about having you done them all already :D I know what the benchmark is to Gold them.

I may have been a filthy wall rider on that one if it's the GTR  - i was shocked there was no penalty to be honest, lol

I just went flatout along the wall into the first 2 corners each time, the wall slows you down from 200+ to about 120mph, it worked on all the tight or sweeping walls on the track with no penalty. Just take the hairpin bit properly.

Finished the Cafe cards tonight, i thought the last 5 race championship was the best one so far, easy in the Porsche 917 Living Legend detuned to about 840hp 800pp.

I've joined the Manufacturers Cup in the Mclaren (mainly as i wanted to try the GR.3 & GR.4 cars before i buy them) - First race in DR:C at 16:00 tomorrow

I've done a couple of laps of practice, if i get a clean lap in qualifying (whenever it opens) i should be in the low 1:29's (currently 1:29.650, but losing around .5 on the start of the lap).

I had a quick qualifying and race on Daily Race C earlier, started 12th, got punted off a couple of times as the track is rather twisty, but got back from 18th to 10th after 10 laps in the Viper.

If anyone else is playing Sport mode can you add me please (PSN: GT3071-r), it would be great to have a good sized leaderboard to compare against. Thanks :)

I just tried it again and apart from hitting the AI once at T1 it was a clean race and I got a 6:36 so definitely possible to do it properly. I didn't push some corners and a few mistakes so a low 6:3x is easily possible.
