I'll try and get you this week! I've stuck to the SLS for B as well and on a low 2:03 with my optimal being a 2:02.4XX I think it was. From the second tunnel to the run to the line, if you get that right you can make up a stupid amount of time, my fastest lap I was down by about half a second and managed to be nearly a second up just by hooking that section up properly.

I did a few laps on Suzuka as well in the AMG GT-R but I only managed a lowly 2:02 so far, I fully expect you to blow that away.

The annoying thing with my fastest time on Race B is I'm slow at start, but perfect later on. I can make up the 0.7 seconds (to get the 2:00.5) before the long straight, but watch it slowly disappear for the rest of the lap.. I'll share the replay in-game tonight, I'm just going to race with that time and maybe try to improve it later in the week.

I'll probably use the Jag for Suzuka as it's my favourite Gr3 since using it on Monza the other week for the Daily races. I'll set a time at some point this week. I think I was around 2:00 before but don't know which tyres that was on.
 
Same as mine then, my first 1/3 was horrific but I made so much time up over the rest of the lap I beat my time quite comfortably.

I'm gonna predict you set a sub 2:00. The top times are in the 1:57's, and I remember you saying your really like this track. It's Racing Meds for Suzuka too :)
 
I set a 2:00.280 (ish) at Suzuka after a few laps yesterday using a rented 911 RSR. Definitely room for improvement around the lap so hoping for mid/high 1:59 when I have another go later. I think I set a high 2:03 on Trial Mountain but they weren't my finest laps. Can't say I like the reverse version of this circuit..

Are you guys using rented cars when doing these time trials? Is there a benefit for buying a car and using that instead?
 
There isn’t any benefit to owning them other than having them in your collection and you can mess with your own liveries etc. I’m using the GT-R or the WRX which I already own. GT-R seems nice for B but I’ve only had a quick go this week. Might get on for an hour or two after work
 
Shared my 2:01.1 SLS lap in game. I can make up 0.7 before the long straight and there is no need to lift on last corner (I did on that lap after hitting the barrier on the straight or having to lift too many times before, lol) Optimal 2:00.5 if I manage it later in the week.

EDIT: did a 2:00.7 on my first lap of Suzuka in the Jag. I'll come back to that later in the week, it was a pretty scruffy lap. I'm going to race some Race B tonight

Nice one will give it a watch tomorrow. Watched the Jay Bay guide and cut a second and a half off my time. Don’t think I’ve ever driven the SLS.

The SLS has good power (i was keeping up with the WRX's week before last no problem in the races) and turns in very quickly compared to the other RWD cars. I don't use TCS, but have to either modulate the power like TCS manually or have partial throttle it get the back tyres to grip on the corner through the tunnel at the end of the long straight and the tunnel before the start/finish straight.

Ah i haven't checked his track guide yet, that might speed me up a bit. The 2 people quicker than me on my leaderboard (1:59.0 & 2:00.5) are both in the GTR. I'd rather have fun in a FR or MR car though.
 
Just done a couple of races in the SLS, both A+/S A/S mixed rooms, pretty much everyone is in the GTR. Started both near the back, but made up a couple of places in the 2nd race.

I've got a couple of different lines to test now in qualifying. I might give the 458 a try too.

Edit: just did a couple of laps in the GTR to see how it compares, 2:00.7 already

Just managed to improve my Suzuka lap time in the 911 RSR to 1:59.863. Definitely more in it, certainly a 1:59.5 but happy to have made sub 2 mins. So far I seem to be fastest with this particular car, seems to suit my driving style.

Also took part in my first daily race at Suzuka. Started pole, maintained pole until an unfortunate first corner spin on lap two but managed to stay in the battle somehow. Pitted and then got a 3 second penalty for crossing the pit exit line… Finished 2nd, 1 second behind a GTR. Could have been a win if I didn’t get the penalty! I got fastest lap also.

Getting quite addicted to this!

Had a race with you just now @BenjiSayers i finished 8th you were 4th. Man there’s some divers around tonight. I don’t mind being cut inside but they just smash into you no matter what. Still fun though!

I can’t get on with the GT-R I know it’s fast this week but I just don’t like driving it. Ah well back to the old WRX.
 
@Plainsong sure it was me lol? I've just been doing Race B qualifying trial. I'll take a phantom 4th though!

Managed to get my Race B time down to 2:00:9XX my optimal was :8XX but I know I can go first as I was a bit rubbish on a few sections.

Ill try and do some of the actual Race B tomorrow, as I'm consistent with my time now.
 
Race B is total carnage in the A & A+ mixed lobbies, I watched an A+/S player try to punt someone overtaking him into the pits on the final lap.

The penalty system could do with being put back to the strict original version, the racing would be fun again then.

@Plainsong I've raced against that Benji/Bonji imposter before :)

I’ve shared a race from earlier. I tried to stay clean and I am not the fastest driver but omg mental. The GT-R surprised me into turn 1 but other than that I think I kept it pretty tidy. Carnage in C atm.
 
I definitely haven’t just sat for the best part of an hour attempting to beat spaceman around Trial Mountain reverse.. Managed a 2:00.456 in a GTR in the end :cool:

I also set a new personal best around Suzuka earlier today too using an AMG GT3. Wasn’t perfect but good enough to get 1:59.429. I think I could get a very low 1:59 if I did another hot lap stint.
