One thing that I have noticed from my limited play is that you get a better sense of speed driving than on GTA-III and SA (on PS2).

Yeah I have too. Anyone change the ringtone? I just had to have the original GTA pager ringtone - would love that for my real phone too
I changed it to large and it's better.. the main problem is the black text on the dull background for me though.. I know it's realistic of a crappy old phone, but it's still annoying
there is a hint at getting a new flash phone when you 'make it' in one of the first missions
perhaps you get to upgrade later on in the game...
would make sense

Yep, you can. Colour screen and camera.
Just had possibly the best gaming experience ever.
Shot a security guard with a shotgun at the strib club I was at with Roman and was spotted by the police. Nicked a Voodoo and Be Your Dog by Iggy Pop started playing as I escaped from the police in the darkness and rain.
Was like summit straight outta Lock, Stock.

Not overly fussed I guess. Modifying cars slghtly would have been cool though. Ah well.

I notice a certain site was only offering the game for sale when you buy a special bundle pack with another game - that is sneaky sneaky!

As for buying houses, WTF it aint Monopoly
The guy from Rockstar stated both consoles render differently and I believe he said that the PS3 was smoother and the Xbox360 more defined.
I said at the time, partly tongue in cheek, that that's code for PS3 = Blurry and Xbox360 = Sharp, but I really can't believe the difference looking at those that James quoted. That's quite a big difference.
The guy from Rockstar said he preferred the way the PS3 renders GTAIV, can't help but think that was perhaps to try and sell copies. Either way, both look good though.

Buying houses worked in TDU and modifying cars was one of/the best aspect of Saints Row.

Sorry whats TDU? I can't see how buying houses could fit in to or benefit the game
Not played Saints Row, but was mainly pointing out that because of the driving mechanics in GTA it'll get trashed on its first outting out of the bodyshop/garage
