mine hung on loading up (ps3) I had to delete that save game to get it to start ! grrrr

my tv does 720p or 1080i whats the best setting to have the ps3 set too ( i only got it yesterday)
 
Yup mine too. Luckily though i had read about it before i started it up this morning so i didnt have to delete anything.

Just sign out of PSN then load the game up, that should do it. I have no idea why it's not working signed in, been playing since Monday with no problems.

Anyway, hope this helps for some of you!
 
thanks will bear that in mind was kind of miffed about losing a couple of hours of play.

unrelated but 720p or 1080i which is better on my samsung 32" do you reckon until i get a 1080p tv.
 
the start up hanging, can anyone remember what method their last save was?

i.e. autosave or safehouse. i wonder if the autosave is the issue as has been in other games over the years. might me worth trying with autosave off :confused:
 
lol this is turning into a joke, deleted saved game it went through the intro on the boat then I got into the car and it locked up my PS3. Just deleted my profile AGAIN and going to try again. Who the **** programmed this game christ.
 
I do get quite significant frame rate drops on the PS3 version (40Gb), but somehow they dissapear when I go on multiplayer.
 
Did they even play test this? I had a few hang ups yesterday on the ps3 version. Also, going from sp to mp is annoying. If a host ends a game before it starts, it kicks you back to sp. Not really a big deal, just annoying.
 
i managed to pick up my copy yesterday totally loving it :p . Im about 12% in after constintly playing it, i should really start socialising instead of doing missions.

One thing that takes getting used to is that Niko cannot take many bullets compared to previous games, you really have to use the cover system :p .
 
More Bugs Than The Kuju Rail Simulator...

Okay well it's happened...

Tried to load up for a session just now, last save from yesterday (Jamaican Heat) hung on loading. Reboot, PS3 lost its settings. After sorting that out deleted that saved game. Game managed to load previous save (Bleed Out) but about 3 mins into Easy Fare when the police chase started, sound and picture lock up. Reboot, find Bleed Out save also not loading. Delete that etc. etc. but then the save before that ain't working either.

Can only assume the installed data has somehow corrupted. (And since when did console games need to install 3.3Gb of data anyway, the PS3 is not a subsitute PC, Rockstar).

I'm not prepared to risk trashing the PS3 with what appears to be bug ridden unfinished code. Never mind the hype, Rockstar, either your game needs a patch to fix these problems or if it's hardware/OS related you need to be working with Sony for a firmware upgrade.

That's £44.99 + £12.99 for the Brady guide down the toilet. Guess I can reclaim some selling the products secondhand.

Just as well I hadn't advanced further into the game and I only lost a few days worth of play.
