I'm about 20% through, brucie and little jacob are ace. The cut scenes are great, the voice acting is brilliant, taxis are very useful. Now I just need to find a helicoptor.
This game is awesome.

In a game like GTA 4 it doesn't really matter but in fast racing games or any fps then the difference between 60 and 30fps is like night and day.
 
The FPS argument is never won by anyone! It's just one of those things that crop up again and again. If the FPS doesn't affect you, then good for you. If it does, then too bad. Simple. :D I think the only time we all agree to moan is when something becomes obviously juddery - as in, the kind of judder you expect of ~20fps.

Tried to load up for a session just now, last save from yesterday (Jamaican Heat) hung on loading. Reboot, PS3 lost its settings. After sorting that out deleted that saved game. Game managed to load previous save (Bleed Out) but about 3 mins into Easy Fare when the police chase started, sound and picture lock up. Reboot, find Bleed Out save also not loading. Delete that etc. etc. but then the save before that ain't working either.

Can only assume the installed data has somehow corrupted. (And since when did console games need to install 3.3Gb of data anyway, the PS3 is not a subsitute PC, Rockstar).

I'm not prepared to risk trashing the PS3 with what appears to be bug ridden unfinished code. Never mind the hype, Rockstar, either your game needs a patch to fix these problems or if it's hardware/OS related you need to be working with Sony for a firmware upgrade.

This is a known problem and R* have suggested a number of suggested fixes, just google it. They have also said they are working on getting a patch out as soon as possible and that Sony are working with them on it.

If you're not prepared to even do a search to find a possible solution or wait for the patch though, then it's your loss imo.

He's one of the extra side mission guys you get - they are called 'Random Characters'... you will come across him again a little later in the game if you go looking and he has a few missions for you ;)
 
friend and i just got back from town, ahhhhh got our copy each :D exciting, cant wait to play tonight :D absoloutly everywhere was sold out.....the place had a fair few xbox ones but hardly any PS3 ones
 
I've got a problem on the "crime and punishment" mission, the one where you have to steal a police car and pull over the vans, I can't get the siren to work on the police car?? :confused:when I push the left stick it only sounds the horn...???? anyone know what I'm doing wrong, the vans won't pull over without the sirens going...

Interesting... my PS3 is wireless but when I switched the router off, suddenly able to load and play okay.

Definitely a bug though.

I googled up the fixes still annoying however there is no chance of me stopping playing it becasue of it!!:p

Just quickly tap the stick, dont press and hold. Just off and on real quick should do it!
 
Uho looks like ive got the dreaded lock up problem :( stuck on holland play loading and loading and loading :mad: 60gb ps3 btw.
It loaded 5 minutes ago then locked up when i went to meet the ? guy had to hard reset it now just wont load, disk is clean pristine in fact been loving it till now all fun.....:o
