*** Grand Theft Auto IV - The Official Thread ***

Ive gone from liking this game a lot to being bored now, Im on 'Live and die in Alderney' tryed it about 3 or 4 times now, the best ive got is trying to get away with 4stars in the utter crap van and well thats a fail, need to go date that lawchick quickly methinks.

just carry on out the tunnel and as soon as your out turn left into the warehouse bit and youll be fine aslong as the rozzers dont pop round the corner.

Following the story I've been doing 1) The Assasin Missions 2) The Most Wanted Missions 3) Current Crime Missions

They're the usual kind of fun.

Then there's those birds to kill and the stunt jumps to find.

I took a break from the main story and have been doing a lot of the other stuff. Done the Jacob Drug running missions, done a lot of the Random Character missions, shot all but one of the pigeons, done all but one of the stunt jumps, done all the car shopping list for Stevie, done all the Most wanted (10 for each island).... still got loads to do as well !!!! Put in over 90 hours gameplay so far too  the more I play the game the more I love it :D

not finished it yet. but very happy with the game.

maybe it depends on the type of gamer etc as im a very casual gamer play a few hours here and there. but my m8 says the game sucks but he played the main story only and completed it rather quickly but doesnt have any of the other stuff.

Same here - I love it , really suits my style of gaming.
Im up to 45 hours of play and 70% or so through. I'll pick up the story again in a week or so.

I don't know whether to keep this game or trade in for NG2. While I don't think its a bad game, I just can't decide how much fun I am having while playing it, and I feel like I am just wasting my time spending all this time driving around in a game, doing stuff for characters I hate. And then theres things like killing pigeons, and stunt jumps... and I jsut don't know if I could be bothered.

I have the same problem with Bully. Just feel like I am wasting time while playing it.

While I am about 25% into GTA4, after about 14 hours gameplay, I struggle to imagine spending much more of my life on it. Whereas Mass Effect I played for over 30 hours and thoroughly enjoyed it. So much so that I have begun playing it through again.

Perhaps I just prefer something a little more story driven. I dunno. So wanted to enjoy this game, but it just seems to be lacking something for me.
