***Grand Theft Auto VI***

Ughhh it looks so good, but I don't want to invest in a console and I don't want to wait years for the PC version :o

I wouldn't be buying a console for it any time soon, my guess is it'll run terribly on PS5/Series X and both Sony and Microsoft will have updated consoles out just in time for it

Traffic and pedestrian density looks to be a massive jump over even the PC version and XBS/X and PS5 versions already and dat view distance.
Which leads me to believe that the trailer is based off the PC version. Does any console have the amount of memory capable of holding that much distance density?

Plus I'm hopeful that a 2025 release means a much closer PC launch too..... Hopefully lol

Trailer could be anything, Could even be Ps6 equivalent settings. It's not out until 2025 and probably 1+ years later for PC. What GPU do you all think you'll have in 3 years  ?

Look at what rockstar did with RDR2 though that still looks amazing even now imo, and that was on the last gen consoles.

Lead characters seem a bit dull to me, I realise it’s only a 90 second clip but, no real character or eccentricities came across at all.

And was any of that actually real time? Some of it certainly didn’t look like it.

Of course I will buy it.

This is 100% a me issue but in the older games I could happily go on a mass murder spree etc and generally be a ****.
When the started having deeper characters it put me off because it wasnt in character for who in playing. Like Michael or Franklin from 5, it's like a kind of disconnect I guess.
Same as I get with games where there is some massive threat to deal with, it feels off doing unimportant side quests etc.

I know what you mean, it will be interesting to see what they do with the characters and whether the player has any real influence over their personality or something like that.

Looks good, it seemed to be more of a trailer to set the tone for the world rather than introduce the characters and get a feel for them, nothing to get excited for yet as it's still years away at this point assuming no delays. I'm still in the boat of a staggered release too, I wouldn't be surprised if this is more 2026 at least for PC.

Checking the dates the current crop of consoles will be 5 years old at the projected release. It will be interesting to see where they are by then, if it ends up being like last gen with mid life cycle refreshes then I wouldn't be surprised if they go for the old PS5/XBOX release > PS5/XBOX Pro version/upgrade > PC release for maximum double/triple dippage numbers.
