Graphics Card Warranties (UK Only) - Let's see how good they really are!

Interesting thread, will definitely affect future purchase decisions.

Wonder if there's any correlation between failed cards and factory overclocked models (would be pretty difficult to investigate i suppose).

just wanted to say, absolutely outstanding thread many thanks to op, (although majority of ppl cards 'hopefully' will just tank for years it gives good peace of mind knowing, certain brands will make process easier if there is a problem

no VTX on that list? OCUK sucked when it came to helping me sort out a problem I had with the card I got. They left me high and dry when I got back from holidays to find the card was faulty with a missing fan blade. Did OCUK help? no chance they did

Had a look at that return rate list.

Pretty interesting, but remember to take the figures with a pinch of salt. As it only counts people returning to the retailer. You'd expect Oems with bad RMA rep to score higher here as people would be more inclined to deal with the retailer. :)

With graphics cards end user fail will be a factor, the high end cards are more likely to encounter problems due to the end user installing them in small inaproprate cases, using poor PSUs, overclocking/flash fails. :)

HIS are crap as hell. Took over 28 days to get a replacement sorted but that's only thanks to OcUK stepping in :)

I have a feeling i'm going to try EVGA's RMA out soon as these ****ing 570 pieces of **** are driving me up the ****ing wall. I want top rip the ***** out of my rig and then stomp the **** out of them

/rage

LOL! Why don't you tell us how you really feel!

I know the feeling, bud...

Generally speaking, is an RMA through the retailer as opposed to the manufacturer a good thing?

Thinking of buying a Gainward and it says 'RMA through retailer only'.

Adding my bit to this RMA thread.

EVGA great customer service all round.

Had to RMA a GTX 580 Classified.

10 days of owning it had a fault, posted about it on the OcUK forums Evga Nick replyed to my post saying I could email him if I need any help with a RMA, by this time I had already started a RMA with EVGA. I used EVGA's Advanced RMA had a replacement card that's been out of stock everywhere for a month at the time at my door 3 days later in a retail box & is still out of stock.

Had a UPS tracking email sent to me so I could track it on it's way from Germany.

On a side note I emailed Evga Nick one evening asking if I could swap it for the water cooled card paying the extra (no harm in trying :) ) Got a reply from him the next morning. To say NO :D
So very good service all round.

Yeah. Sticky this already. I was searching for this the other day and couldn't find it.

Also please rename the title from "Graphics Card Warranty's" to "Graphics Card Warranties"
