Graphics Card Warranties (UK Only) - Let's see how good they really are!

EVGA and Gigabyte have been the best for warranties for a long time.

Asus, Sapphire, Powercolor and VTX seem to be the worst.

MSI are fine, maybe just take a little longer to sort out, but not too long, and they have equal build quality to EVGA and Gigabyte.

I'd buy gigabyte cards if they stopped using their ugly blue PCBs, but since they wont I'll stick to MSI, or maybe even look at EVGA for my next purchase.

I normally choose based on the best custom cooling, and MSI tend to have the upper hand there followed by Gigabyte.

Quick question, are Sapphire really to be 'avoided', as per original post?

They have a much better package than the Gigabyte card i've bought, plus i'd get some free games i didnt get with the gigabyte windforce.

Or VTX i've seen a good packgage...

I did however buy it for its 3 year warranty...

Very interesting, I tried to RMA an MSI card months ago and the ticket is still unanswered? Perhaps I went to the wrong website (shrug) Went through OcUk and all was fine however, even the 2nd time it had to go back -.-

I'm not enjoying my 7970 WF, its running hot and doesnt overclock that great. Might send back under DSR... maybe the VTX OC instead?

How are VTX and anyone think i should send back the gigabyte card?

I think you should DSR the WF and buy another one.

They are great cards. Maybe you just got a bad overclocker?

Not sure really, 1187mV 1125/1510 at 100% fan speed 86C.

Is that bad, not sure i want to go gigabyte again, also i didnt get free games and the gigabyte packaging is horrendous with only molex to pcie connectors.

Well another week has passed! Just subbed another ticket to see if there has been any developments on my RMA. Sapphire are off my list for future purchases I'm afraid, I don't recommend anyone purchasing a card from them if it takes this long to turn around an older card.
If they are going to churn out 2 iterations of GFX card technology within the 2 year warranty period, would it not make sense to have a functional RMA policy that can deal with the older cards that are still covered? My communication with Sapphire's customer service team before I submitted the RMA suggested an upgrade if they couldn't provide like for like replacement, but I've heard about neither :(
I appreciate that OC are not to blame for Sapphire's silence, but it's got to raise questions about supplying their products when such negative experiences by customers are just going to put people off buying them altogether. I imagine a Sapphire pyramid languishing in the corner of the warehouse, gathering cobwebs!

"this has been rejected from Sapphire as being warranty void."
Not pleased. Would love to know how I invalidated it! :(
Also, now I don't even have my dead card, which is still my property! If this is the final word, I want to give it a proper burial...
