Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [11th - 14th August 2023]

Its a **** decision. Its not corruption. United had a lot of awful decisions against us last season like every team. Its incompetence, not corruption.

For ages I had this opinion but for about a season or two I’ve been slowly warming to the idea that things may actually be a bit bent.

I just find it hard to believe that people can be this incompetent on a semi regular basis.

Pre VAR it was understandable but making decisions like this after watching blatantly obvious replays is beyond explanation.

You’ve obviously never dealt with Virgin media customer services

The good thing is, I don't think our transfer business is done. Maguire should hopefully leave, Fred has gone, McTominay may go (less likely), Martial also.

Could do with another striker and at least one robust midfielder (Amrabat), think we're looking at Pavard too for RB/CB.

Agreed more to do but McTominay might have been a better option than Mount. The fact he came on suggests he might not be leaving.

PGMOLs Jon Moss has apologised and said Wolves should have had a penalty. FFS we can all see the replays, its becoming a joke tbh.
and yet nothing will be done about it, the same ref's will make the same 'mistakes' in favour of the same teams week upon week.

Can't argue or complain about the Gestapo making these sorts of decisions any more.

Outsource the lot to foreign refs, current lot aren't fit to ref school football.

Ofcourse it wont. We are one game into the new season ffs and we have an apology for the most blatant decision you'll see this season
Some accountability would be a start when referees make an obvious **** up like this, instead they are far too busy wanting to punish players/managers for complaining about dodgy decisions.

How are the PGMOL able to make these decisions after the fact but not during a game, when it matters? Admitting mistakes is a step in the right direction but who are they not putting on VAR if others are able to come out and say that it's a mistake.

The women's WC have taken a step ahead of our PL refs and have them mic'd up and explaining these decisions, why cant we get the same in the PL, its the least they can do at this point.

As fully expected yet apologies don't give you points. I really hope the potential point doesn't a difference at the end of the season.

Mise well scrap VAR entirely
