Is quite funny, don't practice a tactic but expect it to work, it might well, purely because Spurs are sitting deep and not really commiting to the attacks and Adebayor has been very poor. When he gets the ball he's not taking on players, not driving attacks forward, mostly giving it away with the odd pass backwards and the attacks are going no where. Defoe would be doing a hell of a lot more for the team than Ade. The only reason to play Ade is to have someone stronger so if he gets the ball he can fight a CB, turn him and run at the goal, win the ball and push up the field, he's done smeg all so far.
Very true DM, feel they'd be better bringing Dempsey off and bringing Defoe on, get the ball to Bale, run him at Maicon and let the counter attacks destroy city. City have to push, there'll be holes all over.
