Was he high? Didn't look it to me. And 2 footed tackles aren't always red cards, at least they shouldn't be. He didn't use excessive force and it didn't look dangerous to me either. At worst it was careless/reckless and therefore a yellow card imo.

It's not two footed, it's not high and he got the ball.

Usually the reaction of the players says it all and Wiltshire was looking at the ref thinking he was getting a 2nd yellow and non of the other players could believe the card was for Kompany, also it wasn't 2 footed as you clearly see his foot was tucked under him

Dzeko injured? Looked like he was hobbling, and at the very least he is torally knackered.

Care to explain why, with reference to the rules of the game? You've got the gif evidence to illustrate anything you say.

My view was based on the other angle where it looked far more dangerous. Without seeing it again it's entirely possible I was wrong

He's a nasty little **** but exactly the type of player most teams need. Not afraid to get stuck in and quality on the ball. Rather have a player kick off once in a while than drop his head and let every decision go.

Wouldn't say he was 'battered' but I would agree some challenges against him did go unpunished but he also got away with a couple as well.

I just don't like the constant harrassment of the refs that some players seem to be continually involved in, also didn't the ref 'warn' him early on with The Verminator in attendance?
