Keown was in the papers saying the red card was deserved and the player should change the style of his tackling
( never particularly liked /disliked Keown ......whether he said that because the tackle happened against an Arsenal player I dont know....)

There's never a reason to dive in at an opponent running at you, it's poor defending and dangerous. Hopefully he will still learn from this.

Hopefully after giving away a cheap penalty in the first 10 mins for my Lambert first goal bet though... (11 Chelsea players have better odds to score first than Lambert...)

Good to see sense has prevailed regarding Kompnay's red card, if that had stood we might as well just make football a non contact sport.
The two footed tackles that should be straight reds are ones where a player is running and launches himself two footed through the air, not dropping down to the ground with two feet out.

Keown thought in this instance it was more luck than judgement that the Arsenal player didnt get injured badly
Im sure there is something about "lack of control" in the tackle - in which case he is guilty as with two feet in the air then he cant have control. If ths is just media spreading phrases which dont exist then fair enough
