So hope Torres has a good season, even though I'm not a Chelsea fan, his a quality player.
I hope he crashes and burns.

Actually thats not entirely true and its the very defence Steven Gerrards lawyers used to find him innocent.
If you believe you are under threat that is the defence for the action you take.
For example if you pulled a gun on me and i shot you based on that and then it turned out that your "gun" was a water pistol my defence would be that i thought i was going to be killed even if the reality was that i was just going to get wet.
what time will we get the united team?

thats abit of a kick in the pods for drogba
I don't know but I bet it's wrong according to NickG.
If you raise your hands to another player it is a red card.
That is the top and bottom of the situation.
We can debate the rights and wrongs of where the law lies but as it stands thats it. If you raise your hand and strike an opponent its a red card offence.
EVERYTHING that surrounds that is irrelevant whether you like it or not.
Barton hitting the deck is poor but it does not negate the fact that if the Arsenal player hadnt committed the initial foul he would have no reason to go down.
The referees job isnt to make a moral judgement on a player, his job is to decide whether contact was made.
For the record i am neither retarded or pathetic and id suggest you choose your words more carefully in future. I object to you using such words and given your reputation on here you are ill-placed to use them to describe other posters.
Lol, just lol. You can kill someone if they try to kill you?
you would still get sent to prison for that. It would still be classed as murder unless it was something like they came at you with a knife, there was a tussle and it stabbed him. That would be self defence but if I was coming towards you with a knife and you grabbed a gun and shot me, you couldnt turn around and go he was going to kill me. You would get done for murder!
Barton didnt assault him. He grabbed him, Gervinho could have pushed him away in the chest and that would have been a yellow card. There was no reason for him to slap him.
Forgot to mention in my last post as well that when Tiote got booked Arron Ramsey is a little **** and a diving ***** too. Yes it was a yellow card, quite rightly but Ramsey sat on the floor looking at the ref and as soon as the yellow card was shown, he was up again running around. Players like this are ruining the game.
Arsenal should be ashamed of them selves after yesterdays diving antics and foul play
If you don't want to be regarded as such, don't post like that. .
If you don't want to be regarded as such, don't post like that. Read my post, and don't repost what I SAID trying to make me sound wrong. I said, without question Gervinho should go, so insinuating otherwise when you quote my post is ridiculous.
He should go, I didn't say the rule should be changed and he shouldn't have gone, I however did suggest the rule should be changed in the future, these are two different things.
Gervinho DID try and push Barton away, who had two hands firmly gripping his shirt, again this was my point that you ignored. Why should Gervinho get a yellow card for pushing away someone who grabbed him, in a very agressive manor? Can you honestly say that if someone in the street grabbed you, had a tight grip and you pushed him away you would expect yourself to be punished? No, As I said the lack of any reasoning for self defence is ridiculous as its considered in every other aspect of society.
AS it was, Gervinho did try and push Barton away, it didn't work, he then had Taylor all over him aswell. This is the point when players are basically attacking you, what options are you left with, do nothing and hope they don't decide to kick you in, what, Barton's an animal, everyone knows it.
Again, before you point out the obvious, the rules are the rules, Gervinho should have gone, the same rules say Barton should have gone, the rules are rather daft.
AS for pathetic, your post was, you both said diving was awful, and perfectly acceptable in the same post, hence pathetic. Its awful for a player to dive when he wasn't taken down, and perfectly ok to dive when nothing took you down but you wanted to make it look like it did.
You also managed to say, we can of course debate if the rules should be as they are, but everything else is irrelevant but the rules in this situation. In both posts you've said completely contradictory things, that make no sense.
Are you stupid, thats not an insult, I'm genuinely asking, your first two sentences completely contradict each other. YOu can't just kill someone if he's trying to kill you..... unless you know he's trying to kill you. Yeah, well done, my point was, which you quoted, if someone is trying to kill you, killing someone in self defence won't be seen as murder. Self defence is taken into account, reasonable force. If someone tries to beat you up, defending yourself is perfectly fine. Barton attacked Gervinho, but the rules don't allow any form of defending yourself, without punishment.
Its never made any sense.
Arsenal should be ashamed of themselves...... because Ramsey LOOKED at the referee? Can you hear yourself, really?
Krul, Taylor, the other Taylor and at least one other Newcastle player all told the ref Gervinho had either elbowed or punched Barton. Barton pretended he was shot(for the 3rd time in the match IIRC), half the Newcastle team were asking for Gervinho to be sent off, fair enough, I don't really care, I've never once heard a logical reason that a player shouldn't be allowed to ask the ref if a player doesn't deserve a card of some kind. Its okay for english players to ask it and talk to the ref, but if a player uses short hand and waves the card, with the exact same intent and reasoning, its somehow evil, and ruining the game.
But Arsenal should be ashamed of themselves because Ramsey looked at the ref.
Neither team behaved well yesterday, Barton, Song, Gervinho in particular should all be pretty ashamed of themselves, Stephen Taylor for being a lying twit should aswell, can't think of any other Newcastle or Arsenal players who did anything wrong.
I love it when DM rants
