Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [17th - 22nd December 2011]

Rubbish. Arsenal did not deserve to lose. A draw was a fair result. Ashavin is a ****ing joke. Why bring him on. He did worse then walcott. Gutted but this is not the game that killed off any title challenge. It was the earlier loses in the season that killed us. Wenger should have bloody sorted out our team during the summer. Everyone knew fabregas and nasri is going to leave.instead wenger left it too late.

u seem mad?

tbh you where lucky city didn't put 5 passed you, you created some chances but didn't come close to beating Hart

Man United out 8 passed you and you put 4 passed Wigan, Wigan played Man United on the 26th HELP :D

Like he has a choice in the matter anymore than if I was to moan that Moyes sells our best players and hangs onto the crap.

Just like us you are now a feeder club for a bigger tier group of sides, get used to it. You have had your turn at raping other clubs for talent now it's someone elses turn to rape you. Again get used to it because you don't have the money to compete sadly.

You ain't going to be looking for another forward to help take the burden off RVP, you will be looking for a replacement soon enough. He is at an age where he will only get one more big money move and his stock will never be as high again. If he stays it will be because he gets injured again.

True, Wigan have been like that for years, to be fair they raped a lot of teams before they got in EPL, got some good players flashing the cash, one is Nathan Ellington got him for a few £1.2m cracking player then left for WBA just before Wigan got promoted for £3m and look at him now

Love how people moan about not selling out, Arsenal could have sold to that assmov or that yank.

Gibbs should be back soon but can't see him reaching the end of Jan without picking up another injury. Hopefully we can pick ourselves up and get a result at Villa on Wednesday.

Judging by the horrific start to the season we've definitely got back on track. Injuries permitting and with Wilshere's return we'll still be challenging for 4th come the end of the season.

Your one harsh poster!

City are only raping teams because they are owned by a billionaire. they are cheating scums who are ruining football. Who can compete with city? United will be the next feeder club unless united can get a billionaire to run there club.

money talk and if your not barcelona, you dont have a freaking chance of competing. Look at RM. owned by the riches. soon city will be as big as them and United wont compete.

United got battered a few months ago by them and who knows, maybe rooney will move to city next summer.

So?

It's always been that way. Players didn't join Liverpool in the 80's because it was a nice place to live. When they paid John Barnes 12k per week it was massive news.

Then Blackburn had money, then ManU bought up players with financial clout. Then Chelsea had a play but unfortunately they have an owner that's a footballing dip **** that keeps ruining it all despite funding the team.

Players went to Arsenal because they paid the wages to the better players and were quite successful. As Wenger himself said this week, they are left behind now and players will just keep on moving for more money, or they threaten to go to get more money.

Cheating scum, hardly. You didn't care when your team used it's financial muscle to take players away from sides by offering them more money.

I absolutely love now seeing a city give clubs a taste of their own medicine and listening to these fans bleat on about fair play. They didn't ruin football, the business model was destroyed years ago, this is now the only way in and achieving success in a short time frame.

Players want regular champions league football and more money. Then even when they are in a champions league playing team they will still look for more money.

Yup when people bang on about La Liga, ugh, two teams domating since time began, throw money at it, 90% Spain most support them.

City are doing nothing new, OMG £250k a week, that's nothing these days, the money that can be generated worldwide is crazy, I think people dont understand that plastic fans will support anyone that is the best.

That's what I love about people that don't live in the area of the club, it doesn't matter what shirt you wear.

They dont have banter or stick they just point to the top of the table. :D

are the highlights a fair reflection or did arsenal deserve a point?

City were the better side for the most part and created the better chances but their finishing and final pass was poor. I'm not sure Arsenal deserved a point but they could have pinched one.

City created better chances, 1-0 was probably fair, Arsenal defended well but Mertesacker is/was an absolute donkey whilst going forward Gervinho and Walcott were so embarrassingly poor they didn't really offer enough, RVP was stranded a lot of the time, neither of them can put a good ball in and Ramsey was trying too hard to be cute which didn't really work.

I had no idea, Stewy!

I would say this, but we deserved the 3 points. The chances we created were better, IMO. How Nasri didn't manage to play a ball 6 yards to Balotelli's feet for a tap in will forever escape me. Arsenals chances were largely either straight at Hart or wide, and I don't really remember Hart ever being properly beaten except for maybe that Vermaelen shot at the end that went wide? Whereas the goal, Nasri/Balo miss and Zaba hitting the post were 3 clear cases of Schezny not having anything to do. That said whether we deserved it or not, it was one of those games that could just have easily ended 0-1 to Arsenal instead. Was a fantastic game. Attack vs attack.

You keep bringing it up not me

No he doesn't. Nearly all of your posts contain something to do with it.

Do you think it makes you a better fan or something? Why?

Postcode = WN

What was is yours back in England :D

Totally irrelevant, surely? Is it not possible to own more than one house, or live/have lived in more than one place? Or support a team that your family members have supported? Or any other numbers of reasons?

Aside from all that, your opinion isn't important. If you are an example of a 'real' football fan, then I welcome more and more of these evil 'plastic' fans, hopefully you'll die out in time.

Good looking chap, unfortunately I'm not covered in wool living on a sloping hillside somewhere in Denbighshire so I've no chance :(

edit: those 2 WBA goals were outrageously good.

edit 2: Ruiz that's cheeky :p
