How anyone can say Johnson doesn't get done for pace there is interesting to say the least. At the very start of the gif it looks to me like they're both going at full speed, sure, Johnson pulls out towards the end but at the start he has a fairly big head start and Valencia eats it up. Running at an angle.... possibly, but it doesn't look like it made that much difference, Valencia was absolutely flying.
Johnson is no slouch, but Valencia absolutely did him on this occasion, as did Agger!

The initial claim was that Johnson loses possession and was skinned by Valencia. Maybe Wayn0r was right on one thing and that we have different definitions of what being skinned means because to me it means that Valencia beats/goes past Johnson. Johnson clearly didn't lose possession (he never had it). Yes, Valencia is quicker than Johnson and gets to the ball first but Johnson is then taken out - even with Valencia's extra pace, you'd have expected Johnson to have been able to challenge him (as he wouldn't have been running with the ball) had Agger not taken him out.

That's certainly how I interpreted it.
There in lies the issue I suppose, I would also consider someone being destroyed by pace, as in this occasion, the same thing.
There you go, misinterpreted by everyone. Valencia was faster, Johnson slower to accelerate/didn't react and looked fairly quick by time of tackle
Skinning someone requires the ball from where I am though

He didn't react as fast as Valencia you can see that in the gif. He also pulls out as McBain mentioned.

This is the problem, Johnson's a pratt, the decisions weren't based on reputation.
The replay's, the slow mo's the zooming in weren't available to the ref. From behind it looks like Evans comes across and the ball moves out in the same direction Evan's was kicking while Suarez doesn't appear to kick the ball in that direction, Evan's foot is basically hidden behind Suarez's from the ref's angle.
There was nothing about reputation or Suarez, it looked like Evan's made the tackle, simple as that. Likewise Valencia's looked like a penalty because Johnson, trying to make up ground flew in from behind and looked like he took out Valencia(which he did).
Liverpool fans and Johnson seemingly deciding based on a reversed angle, zoomed in shot of what 1/25th of a second frame that he didn't touch the ball doesn't change why he made the decision.
lol the fact that he can accused Valencia of diving while claiming there was no contact, while Suarez dives every single week is hilarious.
I don't think Evans has been suspended mate. Not sure where you're getting that info from?
