united look poor really poor for a team that's jizzed so much money on players
Utd have looked dire for quite some time, they've won games but look at who against.
Since the start of 2017 they've beaten West Ham, Leicester, Watford and Boro in the league and Southampton in the cup in a game they should have had cards, conceded penalties and basically didn't remotely deserve to win.
They've played flat out bad football for months, the only wins they've got have been against teams playing even worse. They've drawn against a Liverpool that could barely score and absolutely couldn't win at the time, a meh Stoke, a very very poor Hull, Bournemouth who are well out of form, lost the previous 4 games and only had 2 points in the previous 7 games and West Brom.
Utd are doing what every Mourinho team seems to... just much much quicker, and that is seemingly becoming a very stale and unimaginative team that as time goes on finds it harder and harder to break teams down with more games where they look like they can't score which is why they have such a dire record at home. Away the other team is more likely to play more attacking, at home the teams come to defend and Utd have no answers.
The biggest issue is Mourinho kills offensive creativity in every team I've seen him manage, a combination of taking over very offensive teams, luck and short term thinking means he gets 2-3 years of football before his teams become stale as hell. THe problem with Utd for Mourinho was he took over for LVG, who himself had created the same problem. I think he can't create or maintain an offence, he puts everything into training discipline and defence which if you have a offensive side that scores freely but isn't winning quite enough, is great for the short term but fails longer term. Utd seem as boring and as unimaginative as under Moyes, worse than under LVG but with a better squad and players.
