That greenhouse is a beauty.....

Cheers was built about 2o years ago by my Gran grandad and uncle, that pick was taken from over the pont which is about 50 foot by 25

there is 2 sections of the green house, devided by glass and doors, as u can see the right side has had a few smashed panes which i intend on fixing sometime.

I have a lovely set of chilli plants coming along, just re-potted them. I've not got the space for much more really in my current flat. A little garden is high on my priority list for next year.

Would love to grow some cherry tomatoes, are the tumbler varieties quite ornamental? Was thinking if I don't have a greenhouse I could keep them inside for the winter.

Does the green house get full sun or part...cos it looks a bit green on the front or is that just age.

Your summer shopping bill should be almost £0

If its partitioned you could have part heated part not..

Tumbler can be grown in or out.Take no looking after other than feeding. If its a really wet year like last they will probably go black if it stays cool and wet for a long time.

Pop them it a couple of tubs/planters/hanging baskets. Yea quite ornamental I suppose.

From about 10am its in sun untill sun sets,

It looked green because theres big trees behind it, and hadnt been used in about 5/6 years, i keep centre doors shut so left bit is always the warm bit.

Hope veg bill will be low likes

Veg bill is an added plus...vegetables with taste is where it's at!

Funny how people charge up to 5 x supermarket prices for veg at say Borough market yet it doesn't come near to proper home grown veg.

People have said the same to me, nothing tastes better than a home grown bit of veg, its probably helped on by the though you grew it.

Is it too late in the year now to start growing tomatoes?

Not really, you don't put them out until June. I'd probably recommend getting plugs from a garden centre though, or an electric propagator to get the seeds up fast. I get them to a decent size in the window sill then put a few in hanging baskets.

I went seeds this year though so have 2 dozen of the little blighters, god knows where I'll put them :(

I was going to go down the route of seeds but saw the plants for 99p each so got 3 of the usual kind and 3 of a different veriety. next year everything will be seeded as it is far more cost effective

Thanks for the advice :D, will get some seeds today or tomorrow and get them going ASAP!

Good thing about the green house is the purpose built block wall alows the heat to escape when the sun goes down so it stays cool longer at night,

The garden is full of little gems, have bout 15 Eucalyptus Trees

I love them there so elasticy in the wind, im going to the plot on sunday so will take the DSLR Camera as that pick was from the mobile

I am Gutted I never took pics whilst down my Allotment, Not a prob though as I am off back down there later once my delivery has arrived & I'll take some then.
For those that don't know, I have an Allotment & my Ma has one right next door so We are working the both of them.
Been mounding my earlys & they are coming on Handsome. :D Peas, Onions bit of Rhubarb amongst other things, Loads of room so loads of Produce, To much to list, I'll just post pics when I am back in later.
Can't wait to Taste my Tattys.

Keep it in a dark place, Obviously most people know about photosynthesis, with rhubarb if it is in direct sunlight the leaves will get bigger and absorb more light, however if it is kept in the dark the stalks will be much bigger due to the plant taking more nutrients from the ground and creating a much smaller leaf.

Unless you are strange and want to die you dont eat leaves so i intend on keeping mines in the garage in a nice big bucket, ant bring it out when i want as obviousl will need some form of light
