What's up with you? You really must be a technophiliac who has love afairs with NV video cards. There's no other way to explain your weird deluded views of NV. You're worse than Psychas when he was going through his ATi *** IS BETTER THAN ANYTHING ELSE phase.

Lol it's just golden isn't it? how he discredits Crysis like that when performance isn't as expected on new NVIDIA cards but then uses the game as a double edged sword when it shows the NVIDIA crowd beating the ATi lot. Brilliant.

OT, anandtech do two other resolutions and the results are very much the same, 280 creams the 8800GTX.
 
I think my next card will be an ATi one even if it's just to keep up my so-far perfect track record of alternating companies cards in my main PC's. :p

Radeon 9250 -> 6200 LE -> X1650 Pro -> 8800 GTS 320MB.

Okay not really, only because most sources indicate the 4800 series will be pretty damn good bang for buck.

Most people I think are just slighty upset that they cannot afford it, at the end of the day its a single GPU that blows anything out the water with 4XAA+ and 16XAF+ @ 1660x1050 or more, lets face it like the 8800GTX its again the fastest card on the market, your going to have to pay top coinage for that!

i could probably buy one, and i suppose a few others could put themselves out of pocket for this

but what the hell is the point if its not much quicker than a GX2?

and that is the problem, its just not fast enough

The graph at that res are useless, look at 1600x1200...
I've looked at some other games, at 1600x1200 and none of them even comes near a 100% increase ( Assasins creed, CoD4, oblivion).
Even so, at 2560x1024 I've yet to see a 100% increase either...


I don't know where you get the 100% from...
