So, er, what's it like playing GTA online and being punished for killing other players? Made me genuinely LOL when I read about it.

I've played all the GTAs from GTA1 onwards. The spirit of GTA1 was carnage; chaos; destruction; PvP with comedy gold.

Now you can't make a GTA game with full PvP, because the kiddies don't like getting killed? W Tee Eff is gaming come to, when people like this are actually listened to.

GTA is not supposed to be a game where killing other players is punished. Hell, it was the whole point of the game!

How do you get punished, and why? for killing the same person x number of times?

Seeing as there is a passive mode in the game I'm not really sure why the bad sport thing is in at all. I can slightly understand a punishment system for people who routinely disconnect from missions and races on purpose but I don't understand why people are punished for killing other players and destroying their vehicles in free roam when the "victims" can simply enable passive mode.

That was me?! I bumped some people doing some races but not to be an idiot. Apologies mate if you didn't like my gaming. I tend to hit the traffic too much which might explain.

Hah it's alright, semi-jesting, it's just that there were only three of us racing, all from OcUK but you kept bumping me and trying to spin me in the SandKing. Or it seemed like it anyways?

You can kill people as much as you want, just don't blow up their personal cars.

Some guy was griefing myself and a mate the other night. His personal car was unlocked. I nicked it and drove it off the pier flat out, making sure I'd bailed well before the end. I got the bad sport warning :-(

I've had lots of warnings, and only 2 days of bad sport lobbies.

So long as you don't do it too often it's okay

I'm guessing you don't get labelled as a bad sport while playing with friends?

You can do, if you blow up their cars or keep leaving jobs while with them

The only things you need to avoid really:

1. Don't blow up cars if you think they are insured
2. Don't leave jobs over and over.
