It's not like it's much of a loss anyway.

GTA has gotten to

- Take last GTA game.
- Add a few minor graphics tweaks.
- Make a new city.
- Add some new missions.
- Drum up media support by glorifying how you can kill/maim/run over hookers/children/black people.
- £££.

I mean come on Rockstar, what on earth has your R&D department been doing for the past five years? :rolleyes:

GTA VC was good, GTA SA was even better.

GTA series are the greatest games on the world.
I'll buy a console purely for GTA if they cease pc support.

same as opet616 says i think as soon as the hype dies down and they see a loss in sales from the GTA 360/PS3 bundle they will release a PC version. however im skeptical of it because the PC scene is dying.

I would think though that they would put it on Steam to make it less piratable and has worked well for T2 in the past with the other gta games.

I'll hold you to that when they bring out the 18th Sims 2 addon pack.

It's been going downhill since GTA3 anyway - that was the pinnacle of the series.

It's all about getting it that 18 tag now, and then letting the media generate free "infamy". :rolleyes:

Yup, pc versions normally sell well because of all the modding done to them. Rockstar would be moderately retarded not to make it appear on pc. Can pretty much guarantee work has been ongoing on the pc port for a while now.

I couldn't give a **** what age rating it has tbh and what the media thinks about it, I'll always buy GTA unless they royally screw up the formula, but judging from gameplay vids on youtube I managed to grab b4 take 2 ran in and closed em, the game is still GTA, and thus, awesome.

There is simply no other game like gta SA wich you can fire up anytime you want in any mood. I love driving around pointlessly enjoying Rockstar humor on the countryside and the nice roads. Another day I like going on a rampage and killing everyone ending up with hundreds of dead cops and civillians.
Another day I like to get into a casino and play blackjack or vid poker.

But the greatest about GTA is still the driving, even deticated driving/racing games like TDU, LFS, NFS series, flatout etcetc don't even come near the driving experience of gta of semi realistic roads and envoirements (although the distances between ''civilization'' are too short still imo) and the detail that went into everything. The non arcade but also non sim handling of the cars. The massive choice of vehicles. The awesome radio stations. The ability to not just drive on roads like in Tdu for example but also great to go offroad or ability to run over everyone in hollywood. Or steal any car/boat/bike/plane/heli/hovercraft/monstertruck/lorry with trailer/bycicle you get in your eyesight. I could go on all day but GTA will always be the best game serie ever for me, and imo all GTA games improved on each other a lot.

I dont care about the hype, it's *** only game that didn't get boring from playing it 20 hours with taking a break, and having a great laugh on multiplayer.

Each new iteration brings very little to the table, yet it's hyped out of proportion. I also liked firing up GTA3 (I don't have it anymore as the disk broke) and running around causing havoc.

You say about the unlimited countryside - did you honestly run out of places to go in any other GTA game?

Bikes, hundreds of cars, new vehicles, new jobs, new missiosn, new cities.

I can ask the same about and FPS shooter, what have they added in Half life ep2 compared to the previous episodes ?

It's not liking, it's loving it with a passion, I can do anything I want wich isn't acceptable in reality.

And yes, of course I ran out of places, perhaps not in the boring city's, but in the countryside: yes. In Vice I was everywhere hundreds of times even though it was a city somehow it was still nice to drive around.
Gta3 I can't recall but I recon also.


Sa would have been perfect for me if 5 times as big, with 5 times more cars and other vehicles, and more radio stations :).

That can all be put under new vehicles. And lets face it cars can be reskinned to look different or have the models modified to appear different. Hardly something thats a massive task to implement.

To be expected, how much of a snorefest would it be if it was the same city everytime. Hence why in gta 4 the city has supposodly been redesigned.

GTA did not have anywhere near 100 cars, had no bikes, no planes, no choppers, no swimming. I don't like driving in the same car all the time.
I want to steal A holden commodore, dump it in a river, get a 911, dump it into a cop station, get a toyota corolla, dump it in a scrappy, get a dodge viper, dump it, get a suzuki rx600 and ride on the cables of the suspention bridges, then drop the bike off it and dive from 250 feet into the water to steal a boat passing by.........................

I think you see where I'm going to.
I don't want ''a car''.
I want hundreds if not thousands of types, each with their real name ( modded :)), explore how they all handle, love even just watching the suspention wobble.

Or get in the train and take a ride on the railroad.

I just value freedom far more than the avg person.

Half life 2 ep2 isn't even worth it imo the cash. GTA is and I'd be willing to pay double or triple for it.
I for one don't care about piracy and ignore anyone that does.
I just try to keep to the rules about not helping ppl to pirate/ discuss how to pirate but outside this forums... I will still buy GTA games though always (even if I pirate em 2 months before release date or something.

I don't care, so are cars in reality, a lot look a like.
Doesn't make me stop to want to drive every single car that ever existed.
OR explore every road near me in reality for no reason.
 
meh, i must be honest, i was thinking today. GTA has gotten old, SA i thought was pretty disappointing, theres only so much u can do with a guy going vigilante/gangster on a city. Fast cars and shooting

gta was clunky and slow. va and sa after that tightened up the game play and added more variety. it really doesnt matter if they dont bring anything substantially new to the table tbh - a game doesnt have to reinvent gaming itself just to be considered a great game. gta: sa is a great game.

I disagree, SA story line was pretty lame, and all that was different was that you were black and you could buy clothes/get a haircut and ride bicycles all in a slightly different enviroment.

Although Vice city was beter than GTA 3 as the graphics and city scapes were better and they got the gameplay to a tee

I wouldnt complain too much if they just released new cities and missions tbh. Its an awesome game and Im looking forward to go over SA again, once Im done with my study commitments.

As for GTA IV itself, I try to play the ignorance card and not dig much into what its like cauz I may get impatient.
