GTAV performance thread.

I am running mostly very high, 2x MSAA, grass normal.

However even with FXAA on, MSAA off I am still getting Rubberbanding/Warping when driving.

The bench marks lowest FPS is 55 and the game is stunning until I drive at speed and I get the issue. This is not stuttering but rubberbanding/warping

I have tried everything to resolve it but it still happens both ingame settings and Nvidia control panel.

Any idea???

Is that like where it seems to speed up and slow down ?, as i got that when i was down the underground hiding from the coppers at the start, only time ive noticed it.

Yeah, graphic Lag followed by speeding up to catch up with the game, sound continuing as normal...

Also there does seem to be a memory leak somewhere.

I started the game at 5GB pf sys Ram yesterday and eneded up on 7,6 GB of RAM

CPU at a steady 70-75 % and good temps on all hardware.... GPU 55-60

CPU 60-70

Nope i have 1 gtx 980 game runs fantastic 4 me in 4k practically maxed. I have a galax gtx 980 soc version
very surprised tbh it runs so well lol..
i was hoping 4 around 30fps if that but im mostly getting 40-67 fps lowest drop ive ever seen so far is 30

As a 980 GTX owner playing at 1080p, I do find this hard to believe!

Lol well ive been playing it 4 two days straight in 4k and the fps is fantastic

i find that hard too seen as im running 1080p with nearly everything maxed and seeing it reach up to 3.4 -3.5gb when i've looked. So if i was to run 4k i'm dam sure i would smash past the 4gb vram limit!

Just not got MSAA maxed out nor one of the advanced graphics cant remember which and grass is on high. Everything else is maxed i think. So yea seeing that usage im sure you would hit your vram limit and hit some bad stutter.

I'm on a Titan X (stock 1189/7000) with a 3930K @ 4K with advanced graphics all off, FXAA on - reflected MSAA @x2 and a mix of very high - ultra with Post FX at normal and the sliders half way. The settings show 3900MB usage. (which is higher in MSI AB)

My FPS is at 75ish (no vsync) and drops to 55 standing on a populated cross road with dense vegetation.

I play with Vsync On though so its mostly glued to 59 FPS.

You probably don't realise dips or VRAM bottleneck (check menu pics below showing 1440p at 4.3GB) IMO or you're just trolling. Anything dipping below 55ish I can feel personally.

For reference from a previous post of mine and its 1440p Maxed but x4 MSAA

Glad you made one Andy, getting all the info in one place instead of 100 different threads.

I don't like the internal bench so I tested the first scene you drive a car.

i7 3930K @ Stock
Kingston 16GB Ram @ 1600Mhz
Asus P9X79 Deluxe
Gigabyte Titan X @ Stock and OCed
4K Asus PB287Q Monitor

1440p Everything Maxed Out but MSAA @ X4 (tested specific settings for someone)

Titan X (stock) 1189/7000

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
2587, 60000, 30, 58, 43.117

Titan X (Mild OC) 1389/7400

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
2892, 60000, 33, 63, 48.200

Felt like 60 FPS to me to be honest, very very well performing game with no strange FPS drops.

Stock was mostly in the 40-50 range.

Mild OC was in the 45-55 range.

Well as i said running with just fxaa no msaa or reflective msaa and post fx is set to very high depth of field i have disabled as i hate that anyways pointless in games imo.

i do the same with an xbox pad, i dont find it too bad, its got to be better than driving with the keyboard or aiming with the pad

It is, but the first mission where you have to shoot the guy off the bike ? My left hand was holding the Pad and using R2 to accellerate and thumb to steer, then right hand on the mouse to aim and shoot. There was a few choice words said is all I can say lol.

i found my self doing the same thing haha. Glad it's not only me lol. I find my self thinking that this product might be of some use for this game... Not sure.

has a little sort of thumb stick on that which looks like it might be helpful along side my logitech g600 it might go nicely together.

Fine for me too in 4k. Everything on apart from MSAAx2 and not touched the advanced features.
