GTX 780 Owners Club

I'm tempted to "join the club" :D

I'm still using a decrepit old GTX480 (I used to have two in SLI but one died last year), so it will be a nice upgrade. I don't have too much time for games these days, but there are several games I've been putting off playing for a few years due to lack of GPU horsepower for a 2560*1600 screen (Metro 2033 / Last Light, Crysis 2 / Crysis 3, Far Cry 3, Bioshock Infinite and a few others).

They're under £500 now, so I'm considering making the jump... :)

You know it makes sense :D

A shame our lazy forum 780 owners didn't do any game benches, so you will have to trust outside sites for game results. At your resolution, they still struggle with max details in those latest games but a trade off from MSAA can easily bring those fps back up.

Plenty of game bench results here

Thanks gregster... I'm not expecting perfect performance in all games (Crysis 3 and Far Cry 3 seem particularly demanding), but if I can get a good framerate by turning down a few relatively minor details then I'll be happy. It seems that the card can deliver that, so why not. I was tempted by the Titan as well, for similar reasons, but didn't want to support the new price point (or spend that much on something I won't get too much use from for a while). At £500 though, it's very very tempting :)

Well its not very accurate and im most likely wrong but i just counted their stock levels. :p

Its quite possible that a brand of 780 sold out and in which case i didn't include that as i don't know which has sold out and which hasn't prior to me now looking. *speculation*

lol you saddo :D

Could well be right and the 780 stock levels is the publics reaction to the price.

It's a superb card and for me it matches a Titan happily in games. I'm glad I kept mine.
