GTX 780 Ti Specifications Leaked – Full Blown Gk110 Core with 2880 SP

So possibly 30% faster than the 290X in quiet mode.

I think the 13% quoted at the bottom is gonna be more like it. If this chip is just a full fat gk110 then there's no way it will perform 30% better at stock clocks not that much higher than titan. For 30% they would need to be running over 1200mhz.

10% faster in bf3 which to me runs around the same on both amd and Nvidia and then 30% better in bf4 which seems to favour amd a little. The numbers just make no sense.

The r9 290x number on bf4 is similar to techspot's result. According to this slide the ti is 50% faster than a titan in bf4.

How about putting both cards at the same DBA and doing the comparisons there, now that's an accurate comparison. Then we don't need to worry about running temperatures or fanspeeds or quiet modes as obviously both manufacturers can manipulate these quite a bit.. of course, both cards have their max running temp so set that and -1.

<EXAMPLE> AMD running at 55% and 60DBA vs Nvidia running at 40% and 45DBA is not a good comparison as the AMD will give more performance with a lot more noise which can be reversed by putting both cards at the same noise</EXAMPLE>

Numbers are just for example, nothing real on them.

Ahh ok fair enough, cheers :)

It's hard to read past the bias to know which card to go for xD

Best to wait for some proper legit reviews. Honestly I think both cards have their place (including the standard 780). If going under water the 290X is still a great card bit without aome decent air coolers its hard too look past a sub £400 780. Now when the AIB coolers are released and we also have the 290 Pro things are going to get really interesting.

Why are all the tests done in quiet mode? It seems they are set out on false graphs, when there is the other mode which doesn't reduce clock freq?

They clearly state that the 290X is in quiet mode and I would have tested it with Uber mode and it does make the card look so much faster but expect a 15% incerease over the 290X is my guess.

Frankly any results with the 290X cooler over 60% on the fan should be disregarded unless you are hard of hearing

Say again. :p

Edit:

One thing is for sure, I want those drivers :D

But we all know the stock cooler is pants, so why should that matter?

As long as the cooler is keeping it cool for a benchmark, that should be all that matters. From my perspective, whichever card I go for will be under water, so I could not care less about the cooler - throttling based on this for a benchmark against other cards imo is just dumb!

I'll just wait for proper reviews before deciding.

Majority of people who buy these cards never make a custom fan profile or even open up their case to disconnect their card and flock the bios switch to "uber".

That's why testing at default settings is also important. Most of these RX290x will be sold in these "BF4"-ready PC's to start with I'd guess.

If the 780 Ti is coming in at (I'd take an educated guess at launch) £550-630 then the Black Edition will hit the shelves at £800 at the very least. Was hoping we wouldn't see a single cored card that high again for awhile after Titan. Ho-hum.
