GTX 780 Ti Specifications Leaked – Full Blown Gk110 Core with 2880 SP

I actually had a little giggle outloud at the suggestion SLI mirrors core along with VRAM.

Someone doesn't seem to understand the point of putting a second card in I guess.

that someone has two 690s!
maybe related to kaap
or maybe kaap traded them for some _____
either way its thread of the day.
:)

Off topic, but I hope Intel doesn't blow all Skylake's advancement into power saving and give us the crappy 10% performance increase again...

But as I'll be coming from Haswell missing Broadwell's 10% I'll be getting 20% with Skylake coming directly from Haswell. Sorry off topic :D I'm more concerned whether they sort out the IHS crappy paste.

Fram the last page: All that anger and to be wrong :D:D:D

If these specs are true, it does make a mockery of the Titan's price and spiel (not that I care) but it would have been better to have all 15 SMX units working and 6 GB and everything else on 28nm to be under the Titan... Maybe I am just sour grapes because something will be out that is faster than a Titan :(

Typical OCUK response i see.....

When you are in SLI you only get 6GB of ram because the cards are mirrored so you are still going to run out of core clock power. Even if you had 10 cards in SLI the same rules apply.
This is the opposite of AMD cards which utilize all the ram.

Instead of trying to be smart i suggest you go read up on how Nvidia cards work because you obviously dont have a clue. I suppose your another one that gets onboard the hype train.

That really is a gem of a post. It has indignation. It has a superiority complex. A touch of keyboard warrior. And finally complete and utter nonsense.

I love these forums :D

Mr. V3teran, sorry but you are going to have eat humble pie on this one bud. Having a ferrari doesn't make you an expert with one, much like having sli/crossfire doesn't automatically make you an expert. In all seriousness, you have misunderstood the core concept of having parallel cards.

Back on topic: I really am surprised no one has suggested the specs may be nonsense, given it's a totally unknown (At least to me) news source.

Moving up to a 1440P screen has brought me back to earth. I can't see the difference between this and 1080P, so for me to jump to 4K and require 4 Titans to run it isn't happening :D I for sure would love a 4K TV but just not interested in another 60Hz monitor. 120Hz FTW (unless you have a 144Hz monitor and then you are just showing off) :D

I'm so glad someone else shares this thought - I used to think it was just me! I only use my PC to game. All my work is done on my laptop, so whilst I appreciate the extra desktop space is a no-brainer for most, if you game and do little else - maybe some surfing etc, the move to 1440p is poor at best, especially when you consider the extra gpu grunt needed for gaming at high fps over 1080p.

Yep, 1440P doesn't really offer anything new I discovered. 2560x1080 is pretty good though as it gives you a far better scope, AND it's way less pixels than 1440P so the impact on performance is minimal.
