I've enjoyed GW2 a lot but my only gripe is the apparent lack of care for the good players who want to play hard content.
Don't get me wrong, there is some hard content, but most of the game is just a faceroll even without proper gear/trait/party setups. almost everything in the game can be stomped by a group of players with any build and any gear. Thats great for allowing everyone to get a chance at everything but it also means anyone with a proper build/team/gear will find absolutely no challenge at all.
in fact almost all dungeons were solo-able and IIRC all were doable in a duo.
Fractals are very repetative, and world events are not really much fun as its just a huge mega zerg and individual participation is irellevant.
Don't think im just saying the game entirely sucks. It has many many merits (The UI isnt one! grrr) but Those are my gripes, perhaps im a bit elitist but I really hate opening content up to those who suck too bad to reach it, and guildwars basically panders to entitled carebears meaning, no content for the good MMO players.
In PVE on my ele, I'd love to sometimes use water/earth skills. I love some of their effects. Thankfully they still have a place in PvP.
AI, particularly for bosses needs to be improved. This might go a long way to making some content actually hard.
Path selling gone
I think more dungeons should have things like aetherblade path, thats much harder and gives some good solid rewards, and that requires well built complimentary teams with proper gear and good levels of tactics and teamwork.
