Had the most epic night last night...

It is hilarious when I come to think about what this thread has boiled down to. A single picture that managed to bring out peoples insecurities. An automatic assumption that made them thinks they were under attack and their responses consisted of the need to prove themselves. Even though my picture was not indicated towards anyone specifically, they had the urge to defend.

Some people’s argument towards the situation suggested it was stupid of me to post the pictures and they were baffled as to why I would make my bank cards known to strangers. Yet looking at it from a different perspective; the strangers were far more interested in my financial status than my interest in them. By looking at the number of people posting along the lines of “those cards are not even that exclusive” , “Black Card are the best” to “I’m qualified for those cards but I don’t see the point” and so on, revealed far more about that person than I ever did about myself. Their words filled with competiveness were led by their insecurities. They cared for a stranger to the extent; they gave up their own financial status by challenging me. In other words, am I the one bragging or is it in actuality them?

This thread has distinguished and exposed some individuals in a context they would have never figured. What will be more astonishing is watching them respond to this post in denial.

Dude - its you versus everyone else. No matter what you think your picture showed, it's pretty obvious what it actually demonstrated was something quite different.

The stench of irony from this paragraph alone is simply overwhelming :p

Sure it did. More likely it just shown you up to be a liar and now you are trying to create a scapegoat for your own inadequacies.:p

I doubt anyone really cares about your invented financial position, but if you are going to brag, a NatWest credit card is not really that impressive, and that was the point most people were making.

I just wanted to say that I'm rich enough to have one of those cards but feel it's just showing off to actually have one.

But I am rich enough to have one. Just so you know.

Like, I earn a lot of money. Ok.

:p

Honestly this is brilliant.

Fantastic thread... It's like being back in the 80's. Right, compare who owns which Porche, who drinks Bolli for brekkie and which of us has slept with the most of Bananarama :)

I would have definitely have had a go at Keren and the tall blonde one, not sure about the talented one though, maybe after a few more bottles of Bolli....

That's if I don't wrap my porsche around a tree....again.;)

Wow this thread is epic!

Not for the OP which was a total waste of a read. So you went out got drunk and got with some strippers, wow, not something to exactly be proud off!

But for the idiot who posted a pic of his bank card...i mean really...the only reason possible for posting it is to show you think you're better then the rest. And now some sob story that everyone else is actually insecure...makes me laugh haha

Apologies for quoting myself, I wanted to elaborate my point.

- My wife and I are reasonably wealthy compared to the average joe, (combined income somewhat over £150k/annum, significantly more in savings/investment. now I'm bragging:rolleyes:) yet we just have the normal HSBC Premier account (although we qualify without the need to pay a fee), even though we could afford a Coutts or something similar account if we chose to.

- It not any different, there is a lot of misinformation about Coutts. We had our mortgage with them and they were always offering us accounts of one form or another.

- They were fantastic when we had our mortgage with them, the only reason we didn't do our day to day banking with them is because HSBC is closer and offered the same level of service with more convenience. We never had £5m in assets combined. We still don't.

- Neither do we. We have the HSBC Premier Account, but given our financials it is free anyway

And that proves what, that you feel that a discussion between myself and Will Gill is indicative of you bragging about your bank cards that turned out to be not even true.

Especially as I even pointed out that I was bragging with a little  to illustrate that fact.

Quit trying to wriggle out of the fact that you tried to big yourself up, were caught out and are now trying to move the focus away from yourself.

You best option is to just quit the thread and let everyone forget about your foolishness. (and don't post your bank cards in yet another thread)

If you want to join the bragging going on in the The Official "How Much I Earn/What Job I Do" Information Thread, then feel free.
